Thread: Planning for n95 2gb or 8 gb??

the 2g iphone is called first generation and the 3g one is called second generation iphone.

The 2g iphone has a talk time of 10 hours and 3g has a talk time of 5 hours and the 3g.

The new 3g one is a tiny bit thicker and a bit more rounded around the edges...

Here is a picture for you to recognise it easily :



The one on the right is the 3g iphone and the one on the left is 2g.

You can easily make out by comparing your phone with the picture if its 3g or 2g.

Another huge difference between 2g and 3g handsets is that 2g doesnt have gps in it and the new 3g iphone has GPS.

by the way is there a big difference between phone 3g n 2g except looks which u showed above n tht the later one does not support 3g... nythin specific more?

There are a lot of things my friend and I am really happy that you got a 3g iphone I was really getting worried for you thinking some one ripped you off by selling an outdated 2g iphone which wont be any good in a couple of months when 3g arrives.

You wont see the difference untill you experience 3g.

The most significant difference is that all your tech savy friends will have skype installed on their mobiles in the near future and then you would all call each other using skype and that wont cost you a thing... Your mobile bills will come down and the way you use your mobile phone will change for ever.

There are so many applications you can use and one of them being the internet connnection you have with 3g can be used on your desktop or laptop in times when your main net connection gives up... you can get mobile broadband on the go on your laptop.

push e-mail and what not.

sending large pictures or videos when you are travelling would be so much easier with broadband speeds which 3g offers.

There are countless things which you can do with 3g let it arrive and you would get to know.

You can make video calls with your 3g iphone and with a 2g you cant

well admin i know u r very much eager for 3g commencement.. but frankly telling abt iphone 3g thing.. as u telling initially the 3g network will be done.. but the rent or the charges will be obviously high like too much. another thing is anyways average ppl find 2g costly 3g is more costlier than 2g.. more i will tell u personally/.. i dont use internet on the go as per not my professional thing asssociated.. its simple tht i have wifi router at home as i come home i can browse internet in home instead of opening laptop n all.. this is quiet handy.. regarding speed i think if as per my usage i dont need so much high speed also coz basically its just a time pass entertainment as part of my internet usage....


above all.. if u know deep.. 3g is tough to jailbreak.. hope u dont mind this line or pl delete if u find inappropriate.. as per if anyone will buy apple iphone they will obviously need to customise according to their needs.. so like in tht case we can give a bit negative marks to it.. ppl want compatible apps n crack n all working in their fone thts the fact i have noticed everywhere,
