Thread: Change of blog url

Will i be able to change the url of my blog???

You mean same content and a new url? If thats what you want to do then I would strongly suggest against it coz you would loose all the rankings you have and also all the inlinks which might have been created over the years.

If its a fairly new one like its only been a few weeks then you can do it.

i changed the url of my blog a month after it was made...
i resubmitted it n stuff..
but wen i do a google search i get both URL's .
how can i make the old url from not appearing, as such a site no longer exists?

I have decided to change my blog name..pls suggest..

if u have aldreay submitted it to search engines u will have to resumit the new url now ..and delete the old one
but then u may have the same problem i am having..

But make up your mind before doin it, I mean fix upon the URL.
though u can change it later, its best u finalize on it before submitting , or like i said u have to resubmit.

I dont understand what you mean by submitting to search engines...

Create a good site map and ping google as soon as you update your site.

submit sitemap to google.
submit your post to digg.com and propeller.com
Your site will be indexed automatically within 24 hours
