Thread: Make "quick" Money online

Well guys, there is no way of making "quick" money on the internet or in fact anywhere. Its pretty hard these days to make money in such a competitive world. I had tried my had at online money making and sadly, my journey got cut short for no real reason.


Well, I had a simple goal. Do what you enjoy doing. That is what i did. I started a blog on hubpages (its not exactly a blog, but a collection of articles) around 8 months back. I started off with what I knew, what stuff i was good at. I got a surprisingly high number of view for a person with my experience at start. In the first 8 days, i had 1000 views with just 5 articles. But that did require a lot of hard work. My stuff was mostly tech related, so I just put the links to my articles in my signature and as i was active on many forums back then, i got a lot of views from them.

Other ways are posting your links at Digg and stumble upon. They never worked for me. Never got many views from them (not even one from stumble upon !).
I also tried using twitter, which i must tell you, is pretty effective if you have many "active" followers. You can also use Facebook to spread links.

After all this, you will get bulk of the page views from search engines like Google and Yahoo. Google gets around 70% of the traffic to my articles even now.


You can write articles at many places, the better ones are Hubpages, Squidoo , ezinearticles and Associated content. These places have different rules, interfaces and payment programs. You can choose according to what you like.

So know you know where to write and how to publicize it, you need to know the most important thing, What to write .

Generally, as i have said before, write what you enjoy, because only then does content easily flow into your articles. Different subjects can yield different results. If you write about something that is really common then it is unlikely that you will have something really exclusive and may not interest many. I cant really say what topics pay, but from what I have found, there is a huge pool of people who are Interested in stuff like Fashion and Gambling.

Fashion is a topic most girls can write about right ? so try it, i cant guarantee anything, but i have generally observed this. Do write about on how to loose weight too (really common for people to search for).
Gambling, well, if you promote gambling, then you will not make any money, at least from adsense, as they do not promote it. What you can do is write about it and not exactly promote it (by which i mean link to gambling websites).

If, you by any chance hit on a topic where there is not too much content and has huge demand, its as if you have found Oil. It might not make you as rich as a sheikh but you could do well

The final and by far the most important rule about writing articles is that you content needs to be 100% original. If you have copy pasted from other people's work, it will be a waste, the search engines will not index it well.


Now that you know where to write, what to write and how to get traffic, it all comes down to this - How to make money ??

Well, the most effective way is by applying for the Google adsense program.It basically enables google to place advertisements on your page. If anyone from your page clicks an AD, you get paid per click ! It will make up for bulk of your earnings. You will need to apply for this program(just google Adsense). Read the TOS (terms of service) carefully as they WILL ban your account if you break any rule (or they think that you did something wrong). If your account gets banned, you will loose all the money you made and you will be banned for life. So make sure you don't click ads on your own page, you will get banned. Don't say it was by mistake, ignorance is not an excuse.
If you are from Indian subcontinent and China, your page will need to be at least 6 months old for application to be approved(I know this really is a bummer !), for others, you can apply on day one itself.

Next, there are a few other ways. You can have an account with Kontera and other similar services. You can sign up for affiliate programs with online stores like Amazon, Ebay, Newegg, etc. But you find it much harder to make money with these.

Well, these are all the things I had done. Sadly, my journey got over before it could start. My adsense account got banned as some person who had personal issues with me, went on my page and started clicking on ads many times.Hence, never tell or ask your relatives to click ads on your page, it could turn against you !

Usually this happens when you start sharing your website with friends and telling them that you're earning..I got some issues with my friend and he keep clicking and asking others @yahoo to click my web..and my adsense ac was banned..though I earn enough to start working on other projects..dont get into this ad programs completely..earn it and use it in learning other things..that would be more beneficial !
