You will first need a topic/theme for a website that will be promising enough to bring a lot of traffic in - maybe not on day 1 or year 1 but at least from year 2 onwards.

Just consider this website. The main topic/theme of this website is "Broadband Issues in India". This site progresses by means of a forum and members. Not all sites need to be forum based but a forum attracts most attention especially for topics that appeal to a large section of the web community.

Since you will be the administrator of such a site, you must also have a fair idea of the main topic being discussed. For example, it will be pointless to start a web site that deals with SAP when you yourself have no idea what SAP means. But if you are fairly inclined to a topic that is close to your heart not only you will make yourself well read in that topic but a website on that topic will ensure your heart and soul.

Next you will have to invest some money.

First, you will have to buy a domain name. Domain names are registered by quite a few organizations. The domain name must be catchy to the main topic of your website. But catchy domain names are already taken or squatted upon. Check the internet for prices to register a domain - it is not very expensive but still an expense.

Then you need a hosting service provider. Hostgator is a very popular hosting service. They will provide you a server, disk space, and other required hardware resources for a fee per year.

Next is software and licenses. For example, if you intend to start a forum you will need a software such as vBulletin that is to be paid for. Sometimes they are free/open source such as phpBB.

Now, you will need some sort of expertise in Unix/Linux or Windows Server, system administration, backup and recovery, the software that you will use to start the website, etc.

Finally, you will need to design the content. For forums, it is basically straight forward and intuitive but for a content website you will need expert designing help (if you cannot do it yourself). This may cost some money too.

Now that your website is ready and hosted, you will have to think of innovative ways to bring traffic to it. You can start with invitations but there is a limit to it. Google Adwords is another way to get website hits. You have to pay for Google adwords. But your website must have a sizeable content so that visitors who have crawled to your website stick with you. (A spider's web that is not sticky makes the spider go hungry).

Admin will be able to take up from here.

And once more word, and I said it before: you will need to improve drastically on your language. No offence meant, but it is a harsh world out there.

u know i first signed up for gadsense on dec07 via flopper, it said you can earn money so did it, but it was last two months when i really got what does it means.
and trust me its not a pc of cake , people will only click them if it is very attractive or there is nothing else to click on to.

if you dont have a blog then get one from blogger, because the new rule says u need a six mth old site is required.

Blogging doesnt mean earning money. First, learn to blog and get your content right, the money comes automatically, you see.

Start a blog first before an website as it is easy & free. Choose a topic & start posting relating to the topics....then put ads....intially there wont be much earning....but as ur blog grows....u will earn more....

you can go to blogspot to start your own blog and you can use your gmail username and password to sign on. It is free to use and very popular

and Milan its better to start a blog first before you start a website.. as i remember last time i saw your blog and there was only one article posted so first try to work on your blog to improve your writing skills and content then you can startup with a website...

once again just4kix out of boundry, everything is explained in very simple language

As for me, for a starter:
Think of Theme/title and other things related to what you are going to start, then register yourself with a free web services like: Blogspot, Google pages, and much more..
There you will need to register yourself and start Writing your stuff's.
If you use Blogspot, you will have a option to register for Adsense, register yourself.
Once your site is created and your are satisfied with it.
There are many web submission services on the net, try them.

Once you receive a reply e-mail from Adsense that your site is accepted, then your ads [posted on your page] will get reviewed.

To earn, your site should get visitors and they should click on your ads, and not you.
The only tip is not to click on your own ads or get some people do for you nor use proxy service to click, since Google Adsense is strictly against it and if they find this in any way, they are surely disband your account.

    Hope i made it clear.

@milan, you get 1c or 2c per ad click. So do not expect that it will bring tons of revenue just because you get thousands of visitors. Most visitors never click on an advert. I rarely do.

That is why your blog/website/forum needs to have a good theme that attracts good visitors and good ads.

Just to make addition to the advise above, u can download the vBulletin (on which this forum is running on) from here:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/14065347...IFIED-vBGN.zip
(don't try to use it and create a forum of ur own - u need licenses also)

After using the S/W on ur PC u can imagine how hard Admin works to configure it, and run it smoothly:14:.

i totally agree with you on that.

Like everyone is saying its good to start with a free blog, and blogspot blogs are good to choose, just visit the site blogspot.com.
Create your free blog, instructions are given once you log onto blogspot, if you have a gmail account then you use that to login.

Think of a subject which you can easily write about, and its important to be consistent when you write, say write about 3-5 posts a day. Keep doing this for 6 months and its then that you can apply for adsense. By that time you should have an established blog and start earning through blogspot.

Submit your blog to directories, i don't know of any, but search it up on google, and choose the free onesm dont spend any money.

Join a blog community so that you can comment on people's blogs and they can comment on yours, that way you will get links, comments and visitors on your blog.

    Hope that makes sense!!

    @milan

    Sorry for a late reply.
Well the amount earned by a publisher depends upon the amount bid by an adveriser and the ADS he has opted to displayed for.

Let's say : Zapak.com has opted for an AD and has bid 0.16$ and has chose 100 AD lots where its AD's are to be displayed and hence this 0.16$ will get divided amongst 100 publishers if and if only thier AD's are being clicked legally.

Yes the Ad's will be seen by 10 minutes of being embed in the site, but those are only Ps's [Public service ADs and have got nothing to do, since a publisher will earn like 0.001$ when 100 visitors click on them.

And as far as you have said "Neo Bux", these have being noticed by GOOGLE and are in a process of banning those publishers account.
Since GOOGLE TOS states " AD's should only be clicked by visitors those who visit the site and not illegally using some such traffic generating sites/suits".

Here is an excellent blog: A coach says . . .

Here is his profile: Ankush Joshi - LinkedIn

@milan, start blogging first. Do not worry about money that you could earn. When a blog becomes popular, you will get traffic and adsense will make money for you.
