Smile Earn money thru investments (sub-forum)

Hey,

Mahe has suggested that we put up a section for Stocks and shares ...tips,tricks guidance etc....I think it is a very good idea ....Many people (some very young) invest and a lot of them are not completely familiar with all the procedures, etiquette followed during investment.....This makes it(stock market) very volatile ....so lets have a thread ....to educate/share/discuss ideas on investments .......
Its a great way to earn money online
If there are enough votes our Admin will start up the requested section....

A few more votes and we get a new section soon.

I hope those were not just plain votes and members will contribute to the new section aswell and not just be spectators... with no contribution.
I am a heavy investor in equities and have made my share of losses and profits in the stock markets I would love to share my own experience with every one here... although this is not the best of times in the stock market.. Things will change very soon though.

For long term investors this as in today was a good time...

The golden rule is .. Buy in a falling market and sell in a rising market... have 40% reservers always in cash for crashes to make a quick buck.. People who do not follow this strictly make losses and those who do have the last laugh.

Stock market demands a lot of discipline and with disiplined investments you can make good amounts of money in the long term... The daily trading this is a different ball game all together and should be avoided by newbies at all costs..

Rest when we have a new section ... if we do.

Another Golden Rule ...i use to gr8 effect .....keenly observe Tower employees (top level management ) who own significant levels of stocks....they are the first ones who will know of any future problems and last ones to remove their stocks unnecessarily (Because its also their company and also because they are responsible investors)

If they start pulling out their stocks en masse it means something really bad is gonna happen ...jump ship ...

It doesnt work 100 % of the time ..but hey nothing does in Investments

I agree with you on one thing. Stock Market demands Discipline.

Investing and Trading are two different ball games. Without understanding one another, one can end up losing.

There are times to buy, there are times to sell, there are times to trade and most importantly there are times one should be doing NOTHING.
I spent about 15 years in Equity, Debt and Forex(a few months early in career) markets. I am willing to share my experience here with all.

those who do no have much time and have the adequate knowledge can participate through mutual funds. but they should use that time to shore up their knowledge to an agreeable level as direct investments deliver better results than through collective investments options.

my suggestion is to open your account and demat account with your brokerage house only. you will have less hassles after the trade is executed.
most of the frontline brokerage houses give pretty decent service. go with one who is very strict with margins and pay-in/pay-out rules. those who are relaxed pounce on you intimes of trouble and show you a different face. with the strict ones you will not have that problems. becuase they are alway like that.

i would like to add to yours a piece of mine. there are few brokerages who part with these infos with their clients for a fat monthly fee. if you have a bulky account, and paying a 10-15k is no prob for you, utilise this service. even if the top guys know what is happening, they have to go through these brokerages and generally share info with them. you will make good money every time.
