Default Chrome OS awakening a Giant a little earlier(Just finshed compiling Chromium OS)

I just finished compiling chromium OS ( Opensource version of chrome OS). I only found google promises nothing more or less. It is just a browser running upon a linux kernel.I used fedora 12 constantine x86_64 (not my default OS gentoo x86_64). I will not say am disappointed but I think Chrome while being a whole new radical concept of an OS is still far from delivering its promises. It is a giant but one who have been awoken earlier than it should have been.
In chrome OS many will think you can just browse but no you will be able to use anything in future. You can use google docs for office related works. Soon you might be able to play games having much better graphics than what you get by cloud GPUs and things like that.( I have once said to one of my acquaintance three years ago that you will be able to use computers using net and graphics cards much better than now you are able to though at the time I don't have any idea what the heck is cloud or it will be too sooner). And they are not much far from future as they may seem but very near. At the most 10 years. But still I think move by google is quite a bold one as cloud APIS (though still have agree for implementation of a common one after much infighting) are not there. Neither are the bandwidth in all countries ( In fact US too is not ready for that I think. As for India I think it will take anywhere from 5 to 15 years).
Many advanced cloud features needed like GPUs services through cloud have not been introduced by anyone. Nor any solution to problems arising due to this concept like privacy, freedom, choices, security related problems,e.t.c. Also google having such a hell of power is not that good.
Will it be a failure? Well it is too early to say but I can say safely a think like Chrome OS is the future but it is still far away.

History is on the move,my friends. Those who cannot keep up will be left behind, to watch from distance. And those who stand in its way will not watch at all.http://windows7sins.org/
People are going to tell stories about me none of which change who I really am.

well ofcource its going to be a huge failure .... google chrome will not support loads of applications, new special graphic drivers for google O.S, no games support, no firefox, no MS Office <<

Imaging life in PC without that!

Its gonna be failure << m sure

First three of the pictures above are hosted on Ghost OS of mine account a utilization of cloud. Now you should read my earlier articles about cloud computing the genesis of modern computing and cloud wars. Difficult to predict the future is. I will like to point out all of the above you have stated can be supported using web. But not through the bandwidth and infra we have in India. Thats why i have not make any concrete statement about its failure but have said that it is bringing future too earlier for these things.

I guess Speed is the only point on which Google was promoting their browser.

I was using KVM with qemu , in windows you can't do that. You will have to use some other techniques but not KVM+Qemu.
