Default Oracle VirtualBox : Now Oracle run guest OS

Oracle morrow released its Oracle VirtualBox 3.1.4. Its the first release under Oracle. Its previous release was suffering from severe regressions. Virtual box is a type 2 hypervisor which is most used in linux for running windows applications. In their default repo we have VirtualBox Open Source Edition.VirtualBox supports hardware virtualisation of both AMD-V and Intel-VT-x.
It supports both architecture x86 and x86_64. It supports all linux distros and also kernel 2.4. It supports windows 7 and solaris also.

Using it quite simple open the virtual box click on create machines and just follow the instructions. You can find virtual images from net but you canuse your iso also to create a one. Its default image is odi but it supports vmware images also.
History is on the move,my friends. Those who cannot keep up will be left behind, to watch from distance. And those who stand in its way will not watch at all.

I use virtualbox to try the various new distros to get a feel of the same. As mandriva is my primary OS it always come with virtualbox. Don't know whether mandriva will continue the same as virtualbox is under oracle.
