Default Stopping Android applications from updating automatically

For users who have an Android OS and have a limited data pack, it is always best to change the updating apps setting according to the type of connection you use on your phone i.e data pack or WiFi. Not many people realize when they get their Android phone that applications are automatically updated which can eat up their data limit, so here is how you can stop the applications from being updated automatically.

    - Open the Play Store on your mobile phone

    - Select the menu option and then choose the settings option

    - Select the Auto update apps option. Options will appear which you can choose according to your will. Options available are 'Do not auto update apps', 'Auto update apps at any time. Data charges may apply' or 'Auto update apps over Wi-Fi only'.

    - Once you have selected the option then your setting for updating apps has been completed.

By default the phone's OS updates are set to Wifi only on every Android so if you use a limited data plan for the connection that you have a wifi network for at home then that needs to be turned off aswell and you can check for updates manually when you know data transfer is not a problem.

Great tip! I was always wondering what type of hidden data transfers might be built-in.
