Default WiMax: What Say?

I had this guy drop off a leaflet today at my house which spoke off WiMax. They(A company called Taj Telecom) are providing 512kbps @ Rs 1300 and 768kbps @ 1500 (unlimited downloads) amongst a host of other plans. I dont yet know what the other charges are i.e. installation, etc. They didnt say much in their leaflet apart from their plans but their marketing guy should be coming soon. They are "guaranteeing" a 99% uptime. Im currently stranded with no ISP since I threw Sify out of the window last month and this seems to be quite an attractive bait. What say bhai log?

P.S.:- Im not at home right now so Im short of the other plan schemes provided : )

Default Good

I had heard from some guy who gets himself with tech things.I am eagerly waiting for wimax to arrive and have better connectivity wireless. In beginning i think it would be restricted to only to metros urbans but gradually would come down to other medium cities too.I am waiting for it to have it in vadodara and what i most appreciate would be connectivity and rates. It should be most economical according to its plan and excellent connectivity and prevent data loss or theft.

I would be glad if its network comes in villages like mobile phone network which now catch network in villages too.

Any word on when WiMAX will be introduced officially? I am in Mumbai and want to get a new connection. I am simply delaying it and waiting for WiMAX.
