My favorite strategy game is Dawn Of War. I found it very addictive. Also it has got a great multiplayer. COH which is another great RTS, uses the same game engine as DOW. Custom mods are also pretty common with DOW.

Have any of you people tried Zeus-Master of Olympus, Ceaser and CivCity?
They all are equally good in comparison with AOE.
Zeus is Top class. Focusses less on Military and war thing and More on our city development. Really miss this game:48:

Yeah many of my friends lost interest in AOE after Using the cheat codes. Once cheat in enabled there is nothing in the game at all

ya AOE has a very low security for the game .... they just have kept every control in just 1 file so once you know which file it is then ... its your world......! i had made my rockets go in to water also.... it was very interesting to change the default settings but not to play ....! LOL....

I think when it comes to strategy games Dawn of War is great. Its the best strategy game ever, in my opinion and is sort of addictive.

    I also enjoyed :-

    Black And White 2
    Company of Heroes
    Supreme Commander
    LOTR
    C&C Generals
    C&C Kanes Wrath

Old strategies .... AOEI & II, Warcraft, Starcraft are very fun to play. But back then multiplayer was totaly impossible through dial up internet ... lan modes made far more sense.

Another great strately is Red Alert 2. Its about World War III ... which was shown to be fought with all sorts of weired tecnologies.

WARCRAFT IS NOT A NEW STRATEGY... Wake up.

I dont like turn based strategies like Civ IV, Rome Total War... takes too much patience... and gameplay is far too slow

Yes I liked Zeus and Caesar... it was the first Strategy game I played which focused on more than just war. Building big cities, producing and trading goods, keeping people happy, provide protection and lots of other stuff were involved in the game. However it gets boaring after a while.

I can't believe no one likes Civilization here. Its more addictive than any narcotic/alcoholic/chemical substance known to man kind.

I have literally wasted precious hours (which add up to many months) of my life playing CIV, CIV2, CIV3 and CIV4 but enjoyed every moment of it!

I have also played AOE, AOE2, AOE3, Age Of Mythology, Rise of nations, Empire Earth.

I am a big fan of the entire Total war series, starting right from shogun total war, Medieval total war, Rome total war, Medieval2 total war+kingdoms.

Right now Empire total war is at the top of my wish-list.

CoH and CoH opposing fronts are also very good WW2 era RTS games.

games like caesar, zeus, Rise of the middle kingdom etc...are great games. The last I played from the series was called Caesar 4. It had the most realistic looking graphics and best gameplay till now.

Other strategy/simulation games: Simcity series. I own licensed version of all the titles. All time favourite. Starting right from Simcity classic, Simcity 2000, Simcity 3000, Simcity 4+Rush-hour. It is the best city building game out there.

    Default My favourite games

My favorite strategy games will always be AOE,AOE2,AOE3. I also liked C&C Tiberiun Sun and Rise of Nations.

In the City Building series I have played Caesar 3, Zeus/Poseidon, Pharaoh/Cleopatra and Emperor:ROTMK.All of them were good...

Since I started working time has become a luxury. These games take a lot of it,hence all of them are in the shelf

^ Empire total war is good, but it crashes a lot. I got it from the usual source, it took me almost 10 days. However, it runs with a lot of lag even on my high end rig. Don't even dream of playing this if you have less than 4 gb ram and a gpu with atleast 512 video memory. The game itself has lots of bugs, some of which are game breaking and highly annoying.

But come to think of it, may be it wasn't worth it. If you wish you can buy it from ebay for around INR 965/-. I would suggest you play medieval 2 total war. Its much better, and is far more stable.
