Rep Power: 1 | Hi guys, Have any of you played "Left 4 Dead" ? It was developed by Valve (HL2). I read that it requires a 3 GHz processor. Since I don't have one , I am hesitant to purchase this game since it might mean a major upgrade in hware. Here is the package pic: ![]() Also below is an excerpt from wiki: "Left 4 Dead is a co-operative, survival horror, first-person shooter video game. It was developed by Turtle Rock Studios, which was purchased by the Valve Corporation part-way into development. The game uses the Source engine, and is available for Windows and the Xbox 360. The game pits four Survivors of an apocalyptic pandemic against hordes of aggressive zombies. There are two game modes: a four-player, co-op Campaign mode, and an eight-player Versus mode. In both modes, an AI, dubbed "The Director", controls level pacing and item spawns, in an attempt to create a dynamic experience and increase replay value........ Left 4 Dead received almost unanimous praise from critics, with an aggregated score of 88% on Game Rankings and 89% on Metacritic. IGN stated that "It's almost pitch perfect in how it captures the tension and the action of a Hollywood zombie movie" and went on to describe it as "quite possibly the perfect co-op shooter." Giant Bomb commented that the Source engine was beginning to show its age but praised the game's use of lighting and filmic effects that gives the game world "a desolate, washed-out feeling," as well as the realistic and emotive faces and the engrossing art direction. Eurogamer concluded that Left 4 Dead "is another deeply professional, personality-filled and progressive take on the shooter from Valve" Inputs requested from those who know about this game. |

Rep Power: 2 | left4dead is over hyped.. the only thing you do in the eniter game is kill zombies like killing mosquitoes..they keep coming in tons and tons and you just keep shooting them.. it does get scary in the beginning, when zombies jump out of the dark. moreover i did not like the style of play.all your partners are moving together with you.. all in all i did not like the game much.didnt play it after the first stage. better try out dead space, and have a woofer close to you.i guarantee you will jump out of your seat quite a few times!! |

Rep Power: 2 | Havent played yet. I Dont like horror games. Turns out to be boaring dark games usually. But I'll download this one and see, whether its a over-rated hype or truly deserver all the high scores. |

Rep Power: 2 | PLEASE NOT I PLAYED THIS GAME AT MY FRIENDS HOUSE AND THE GAME IS FOCUSED ON MULTIPLAYER GAME PLAY. Single player isnt much interesting and the game lacks proper story line. Its a - shoot 'em all - survival horror game |
