Thread: Call Of Duty 4 Online.

Hi friends,

I just played COD4 online today and really liked it and want to play with our IBB members, so i wanted to know how many of you play COD online and if possible we will only create one group and play in some leisure time.

So please do post your views

What kind of game is it, and do you have to download any software or anything!

I don't play games these days. Don't know why. I don't like to, as in the early days. :yawn:

By the way, you may join Shadow, Soumik, Leo, or anyone like that who are regular online players.

It is a First Person Shoote game. You can look more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty_4
You will of-course have to get the game to play it (somewhere near 4-6 GB).

For playing online

* You can host your own server
* You can play on a hosted server

Generally its not recommended to host your own server unless u have a very fast internet connection with no data limit and very low pings .something indian isps dont give

So next best thing is to play on another server . Garena is such a server where you can host games on their server and play matches .

registration is free .
-> you have to download their client for server setup .
-> when you want to host or join a server created by your friend you have to just log into Garena

PS: A while back some IBB members organised IBB Counter strike online games in Garena. i was playing there briefly .but i stopped now . we even had a thread , but cant find it now

like DV said its a shooter game . you play a US marine in the Iraq/Afghanistan like game world of call of Duty .

DV is correct
Direct to Drive (on steam) or *Ahem* downloads would come up to 4-6 GB (the game)

hii nice to hear bout cod4 mp india.. i hope sum1 cums up with our own server.... if not we can jus use other cracked servers n play der as a group... ther r lots of servers wich r always empty... v cn use one of dem rite...

i can create a server for cod4...
who are all interseted for playing it...
