How do you think I got 5800+ posts there? I am a forum games specialist. got a trixie award too...just for that.

What did you like most of the Stex add-ons? I found that the retaining walls, city walls, highway walls as the most exciting, simply because they bring so much real life to the game.

I liked the tall skyscrapers and terrace (The ones which you see all over England) like buildings. I also liked parks and plazas, which can be used to fill up empty spaces. So the city looks like a paved paradise, not a dirt bucket like our cities are.

I liked Peg's (Pegasus) retaining walls and other puzzle piece lots...but found them too tedious to actually use them.

The best mod made by Peg is the seasonal woods.

There were so many cool mods...My plugin folder had expanded to more than a GB and that too when there was no BSNL BB.:P

1. what do i do about air pollution ?...... My current city has become an industrial hell hole ..... mostly dirty and manufacturing type .... Hi tech industries wont come up even thought theres great demand for it ... guess its because of the pollution

I play really big cities in sandbox mode. I acquire loads of money...and than do things my own way. Its more fun that way. Gives you a lot of creative freedom.

@amal, do you remember a guy at S'polis who had made Minas Tirith look-alike? Or was it a map?

Nope, sorry. I checked STEX...found nothing.

I did find some middle earth maps.

I definitely remember something. I showed it to my son also (who is also somewhat interested in the game).

Just look for the most popular files...I haven't downloaded any mods for nearly 3 years. So I would not know who is the current fav. But you can look for Pegasus (for parks, tress, lakes, water bodies etc.) and Bixel, NDex for sky scrapers.

@Shadow, give me till the weekend. I will tell you my favourites.

PEG makes beautiful mods and add-ons.

@Shadow: Also look out for really huge capacity schools and hospitals. They will save you from all the micro management. And one such school or hospital can serve one entire medium sized city.

Back in the day there used to be beautiful Japanese mods available at Simtrop. I don't know whether they are there or not atm.

Yes. I used the Coastal Casino cheat.

I have created cities without the cheat also. But to try out all the Stex downloads such as parks, walls, pond kit, etc. I had to cheat also.

Actually medium sized cities can be managed without cheating even on hard level. But Large cities need a lot more money initially when starting afresh.
