Thread: Help needed to play Rise of nations in multiplayer lan mode

hi Guys,

i have rise of nations installed in my system, we have one more system in our room please let me know how to play this game in multiplayer mode through lan, pls suggest me the step by step to make it up


P.s. currently i have lan cable which i have connected btw the two system. i could able to share the files . i donot have any hub,switch /router.

first and formost i did that only, and couldnt able to locate detailed particulars on it, so if someone who is on the same page can make it for me very easily, thats why i'm here, from your post i understood you are not in the same page,

You'll need cross-over cable.

After this host a game in LAN mode in one Computer. And you should be able to join that game from the other Computer.

i have a crossover cable connected btw the 2 PCs now i assigned that ip too. now say i'm starting a game in one pc and hosting it, also do i need to start the game in another pc to join the game or else i will get some pop up kind of thing .

You need to start the game in both computers. At one end create a game (host) and for the other pc Join the game. You wont get any pop ups.
