    Manish, We are PS2 buddies. I also have a PS2 but it is un-modded, purchased in UK. I purchased it for £149.99 (INR 11,000 equivalent) in 2003. I also purchased an extra console and memory cards. I got Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time game free with that.

    I have a few games that are listed in this thread: http://www.indiabroadband.net/videog...-own-play.html (Games you own/play).

    It is my son who mostly uses the PS2.

    I am sorry - I have no idea how this is done. Actually it is as simple as a firmware update. This is something similar to cell phones locked to the service provider.

    My O2 XDAIIi was purchased in UK and it was locked to O2. A website claimed to provide services to unlock it for £20. They provided a utility to download the firmware in .bin file. You need to send the .bin file to the owners of the website with the payment. They will return you a key. Using the key, you could unlock the phone.

    I guess something similar is done with the PS2.

    Hey that's great, As I opted for the assembled one so I didn't get any free DVD, though it was available with a packed ones.

    my frnd got ps2 for 7200 he bought it 2 years ago
    it can play pirated games
    it also has a 8mb memory card to save games
    no 80gb hdd
