Thread: Ps3 hacked !!!

George Hotz, the wonder kid who had broken the original iPhone , is on the verge of doing what no one has even come close to. He is on the verge of breaking through the security system of the PS3. Don’t get excited now as we are still far from the actual hack, but now he has made it a lot easier for the modding community to play around with the PS3 hardware. The hack is about 95% software and 5% hardware, so you could require a mod chip (well it is far too early to comment on that really).This is only for the old PS3 (PS3 Fat ).


When the final hack going to come out, can’t answer that, but when it does, we all know what will happen

We are with the same old story. Sony sends it to the shops and above that shops take their profit. Sony should focus on its online store, put the games to $ 2 or $ 3 as the cost of copy for them is zero, no more burning a Disc. That way no one would care to hack anything.

If they sell games for $4, all gaming companies will shut down. Even if this is hacked, Sony will just come up with the PS4 or something which may take have an even better security system. Its taken almost 3 years for the modding community to come this far. Even if they do get a properly working hack in 2 months, sony can just get a new console. Piracy is killing the gaming industry.

Man!Who would buy that expensive games??
Instead hack ur console and get games for free.

buddy, why do you expect anything for free. I know Rs3000 is far too expensive, they should be priced nearRs1500 and everyone will be happy

Pirated cd's are never costlier or else they will never sell instead anyone would go for the original cd.

Yes you are right even after ps3 getting hacked it costlier and daunting task to to download 50 gb game then burn it to BLU-ray disk

why not buy a pirated one from the shop (or road side)?

Unless one is so desparate no one will ever download a 50GB file. Instead it would be cheaper to buy it from the pirated cd seller's.

Yup, you won't notice the difference, except that soon the developer that gave you the game will have to shut-down shop because of piracy. Then there will be nothing to taste at all.

Piracy has not stopped PS1, PS2 neither will it stop PS3.

many small companies died because of Piracy. Many were indian.
