Genuine leather is a natural material. Every hide is unique, featuring individual characteristics, akin to fingerprints, that indicate the leather’s natural origins. Markings such as scars, wrinkles, and grain variation should be viewed not as imperfections, but rather, an assurance that the leather is a genuine hide. Well known for its stringent and uncompromised standards for quality, ASUS has redefined the usual imperfection tolerance, applied by even the most appraised leather goods manufacturers, according to its industrial technology standards in order to guarantee high-quality products.

Every piece of leather is hand picked and embellished onto the aluminum body. The production is very costly and the lead-time takes up to as long as 2 months. It has taken the ASUS research and development team well over one year to perfect the leather bonding procedure before mass production was feasible. The final products are subjected to rigorous quality tests from heat and humidity tests to cosmetics, sweat and oil resistance tests. Every S6 component is RoHS compliant and in addition, the product is requited to pass a third party SGS test.
