Kodak Unveils New Photo Merchandise Solution for Retail Partners Eastman Kodak Company today announced a new retail opportunity for turning consumer’s digital pictures into highly-personalized photo merchandise. The fast and easy solution meets the needs of retailers and busy consumers. Retailers can take advantage of this new service with no investment or a moderate addition to existing in-store assets.
“This is a win-win for everyone. Our retail partners have the flexibility of using on site equipment or leveraging our Qualex operations in the U.S. to produce a variety of custom photo merchandise,” says John Culverhouse, Worldwide Marketing Director, Retail Printing Solutions, Kodak’s Consumer Digital Group. “And consumers benefit by having a fun, fast and easy way to tell more of their personal stories with digital photo keepsakes.”
KODAK EASYSHARE Custom Creations Software, powered by RocketLife, is a software application developed by Visan. Consumer-friendly, the software creates personalized photo products such as photo books, calendars and collages at home on the desktop. By using the software at home, consumers can take the time to be creative and are able to save and finish projects at a later time. No high-speed connection to the internet is required, and consumers have full access to all their images stored on the PC. The completed photo project is simply downloaded to a CD and dropped off at the retailer’s store or uploaded to a participating retailer for easy ordering. The retailer can either produce the photo books and calendars on-site or utilize Qualex for fulfillment. The finished product can be returned back to the store for pick-up or delivered directly to the consumer’s home. |
