Persistent Systems Joins Google Enterprise Professional Program
Persistent Systems, a leading Custom Software Development company, today announced that it has joined the Google Enterprise Professional program, which extends the power of Google search and helps customers get more value out of their Google enterprise search deployments. Persistent also announced release of advanced IBM Lotus Notes Connector fully integrated with the Google Search Appliance.
The Google Search Appliance makes the enormous data on your web servers, file systems, portals, content management systems and relational databases instantly available with one mouse click. The Google Search Appliance indexes up to 15 million documents out of the box, with customized implementations able to handle significantly more, and its security features ensure that users only see the documents to which they have proper access.
Persistent brings over 15 years of experience in developing Custom Connectors that enable Enterprise Products to interoperate and co-exist with more than 80 other enterprise applications and products.
“Persistent is leveraging its Unified Connector Framework to extend the Google Search Appliance’s reach within the Enterprise. Persistent’s IBM Lotus Notes Connector offers additional search connectivity for Lotus Notes, with several key features, including the ability to fetch `raw’ data including attachments, detect changes and enable an authenticated search using the native APIs,” says Ghana Pendse, VP Solutions, Persistent Systems. “Soon, we are releasing Connectors to MS Exchange, MS Sharepoint, Documentum eRooms, Documentum Content Server, Hummingbird Document Manager, Websphere Portal, Tibco Portal and SAP KM Portal.”
“Google is excited to have Persistent Systems as a partner in the Google Enterprise Professional program. We’re looking forward to bringing the power of Google search to customers who want to search a wider variety of data sources, enabling them to get even more benefits from their enterprise search deployments,” said Kevin Smith, program manager for Google Enterprise Professional.
