Multiple Machines/ Users connecting to same BB connection using Teracom Model

Dear All,

I am using the BSNL Teracom Type II Modem at home. I can connect 1 laptop to the modem by adding the MAC ID. I have also added the MAC ID of the other laptops through the modem settings. But only 1 laptop can be connected at 1 time. Concurrent/ Simultaneous usage is not possible.

I followed the directions for enabling multiple users (shared on Calcutta Telephones) but then the wireless stopped working.

I have gone through the following links to have answers but unfortunately they are not for the new Teracom Modem:

My question is:
1. How do different users in the same house share the BB Connection on wireless through the Teracom Type II Modem?
2. Is there any other link that suggest the steps to configure multiple & simultaneous connections?

Connect in "Always On" mode
( Userid and pW entered in wan page ofmodem.
Uncheck "Bridged" and enable PPP/PPPoE)
2.
Enable DHCP in modem/router give range 192.168.1.3 to say 192.168.15
3. In all systems(laptops) in wifi mode
Network/WLAN/Properties/tcp/IP/propeties.
Select Obtain. ip address automatically.
4.
Try: disable the white list
5.
confirm
SSID name appears in all laptop/s wifi connection.
6.
2. Is there any other link that suggest the steps to configure multiple & simultaneous connections?

Teracom Type-II ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

Dear Essbee,

1. Do you want me to change these settings through the "Configuration" tab?
2. In the "DHCP Server Configuration" > "Advanced Settings" > PoolRanges (192.168.1.2-192.168.1.17) is already there. Do I need to change it?
3. You are suggesting disable "Whitelist". Do I delete all the MAC IDs that I had added in Wireless Network>>MAC Address Filter?

Laptop changes done in computer Network settings.
2. No need to change the DHCP range.
3.white list.
When disabled entered mac address/es ( existing )will not affect.wifi connection.
4. copy/paste ipconfig /all
only for two laptops ( one connected to Internet & working ) ONLY WLAN details.

2. Is it to be done on the modem through the configuration > DHCP Server Configuration? If yes, then it is already enabled over there.

You cannot change TCP/IP configuration via cmd mode.
Start/Network/WLAN
Properties
Network settings page
Select TCP/IP box ( can disable IPV6 if it appears )
Properties.
Next page.
Select Obtain Ip address automatically.
in all laptops which you intend to work in wifi mode.

Thanks for this suggestion. The problem is not solved yet. I have done the "Obtain Ip address automatically" on all the machines.

The problem is the configuration on the Teracom Modem.

The problem is the configuration on the Teracom Modem.
1.Not clear whether you lost wifi connection for a single laptop also.

presume your LAN mode is working .
