    Question Configure D-Link Router with my Laptop suing WI-FI

    Hello friends,

    Could any one please tell me the steps to setup my D-Dlink router to my dell laptop using wi-fi.

    I read all other post in the forum but not able to make it work.

    D-Link Router config is really not a difficult task and as you want to config wireless so first please go to 192.168.1.1 on your internet explorer page and then
    it will provide you a box to type your username and password (default username is admin and password is also admin

    then you need to click on the Setup Tab on the top
    then look for wireless setup under that on left hand side
    under that tick the option which says Wireless Enabled
    then put Wireless Network Name (SSID) (please make it a combination of alphabets and numbers both)
    put a tick on Enable Auto Channel Scan (it will pick best wireless channel after scan)

    then you can Security Mode as WPA-Personal
    keep WPA mode as auto
    finally put your Pre-Shared Key (anything between 8~63 chracters)

    then search for your wireless network on laptop and simply connect

    thanx for the reply but i could not connect to the internet.

    i get 192.168.1.100 on my desktop and 192.168.1.101 on my laptop using wi-fi

    when i connect the RJ-45 back to the PoE then i get the ip 123.263.*.* from DHCP.

    Could you please come online for give me your contact details so that we can talk and get the issue sorted.
