did u take the ticket no. while giving the termination request? that will help a lot. in case not than simply pay for wat u have used...i bet u will get another bill also adding late payment fee & wat not.....best way to surrender a connection in reliance is to give them in writing.

Raise a query with CC with the ticket number.. and do not pay them if you havent used it..

after some buzy days, am back here

    okz.. regarding ya doubt.

YOU HAVE TO PAY THE BILL, UNTIL THE RELIANCE WIMAX/ ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT IS REMOVED FROM YOUR HOME.

    in my case.,

I had Reliance WIMAX. they charged me until the equipment had been removed. i know, this thing, so i downloaded some gigs per day. ( 600kbps speed ).

just go on calling everyday on CC number and ask for status and tell them itz VERY URGENT ! we're shifting to other place they'll rush to you. speak as though you're a angry frustated minded.

this worked for me... tryout if it works for you.

If you requested for a disconnection and Reliance (or for that matter, any other ISP) fail to remove their equipment then they cannot charge you any more than six/seven days from the date of application of cancellation. This six/seven days is enough time for them to process the request, update billing records, send the final bill and collect equipment.

So one is always advised to do the following:

    a) Make a cancellation request on telephone and get the complaint number and name of the CC person who attended the call.
    b) Apply in writing with a duplicate. Submit the documents in person at the local office. Submit the original and get received stamp/date/signature on the duplicate and keep it on record.
    c) Insist on knowing when the connection would be terminated. All service provided have to state an SLA on every request.

I wonder what is TRAI mandated disconnection time.

6-7-8 days is what we reasonably expect, but then you dont expect ISPs to be reasonable, when they are losing a customer do you ?

However I do agree that we must do our bit, i.e. get the reference no, date & time of call, person spoken to and what SLA they specifiy.

in case of reliance they take 15days to disconnect... i paid my last bill till the 11th of nov (the day the req got processed, the equipment was still lying at my house)... my bill cycle date was 26th.

by the way when the guy came to take the equipment, noone was at home so he just took the transceiver, the adapter is still lying with me.. ... to be thrown away in the trash soon... the cable can be used for networking purposes tho.. but its just too hard.

no more reliance and i'm very happy .

Reliance just takes forever to get anything done on your account.I have applied for a change in my tariff plan 1 month back & still no result.Everytime they it'll be done in 48 hours...I think hours means day for them :0
If it wasn't for the reliable speeds & connectivity, I would have left long time back.

Default Reliance Customer Support is Not too Bad

One time I had a problem of extra bill in my account. It was way too higher than one month bill. There was no reason why that should be there.

I had quickly called them and spoken very angrily. In between when they told me to hold, I couldn't control myself and scolded them behind. I think they listened.

After that they resolved the problem pretty fast. This is where we need to show our "anger".

Even if they ask for more money, if we insist they will just go away with the due amount only. They just try in all ways to pull money if we are ready to give away .
