Speed & connectivity depends upon the signal u receive in ur area... usually, reliance data card is better choice than others...

Default reliance data card

Hi Gaurav,

yes you can buy reliance data card from its online store

reliance-datacard(dot)com

its very simple to purchase, just fill a lead form with complete information and you will get a call immediatly from its executive, they will deliverd data card free of cost at your doorstp.

Speed and connectivity depends on the location, but overall its very good in terms of Cost, speed and connectivity.

Default Reliance blocking data card users from using pop3/smtp of other providers

Reliance data card users are facing some unique issues with using SMTP or POP3 of any other provider.
My company hosts with a reputed provider but I am unable to use SMTP / POP3 account and smtp server of my hosting provider, when accessing the internet through Reliance data card. I am able to access/use the same service via Airtel or any other ISP.

Looks like Reliance is blocking some services for its data card users.

Could this be because,

i. it is trying to throttle users and enforce low bandwidth usage on its wireless broadband service?

ii. or it is trying to act in the same manner that Microsoft does - subvert competition by unfair means. I mean, if you stop email/pop service of customers of other hosting providers, you will force them to use your hosting services.

Any inputs / assistance / advice will be welcome...

I have been using reliance data card for 3 months . I took rs 1500/- per month unlimited. The first 2 months was free . But within the next month, I was asked to pay 3800 once in first 15 days and then 2600 in next 15 days . They are inflating the bills . Dont ever take reliance WL broadband

Reliance data card has its advantage for those who are frequently roaming within India.
But it is preferable to go for the prepaid version which has unlimited option for Rs.999/mth and does not give any billing head-aches

reliance data card uses the same network as their CDMA mobile operations and has the same numbering plan
