This is using tata wimax connection... You guys are soo much better of with reliance.

whats the reason of slow ping times? how does it affect the surfing or downloading speeds ...

the reason for slow ping time must be huge congestion in tata network all the time, in tata wimax its 400-500ms which is unacceptable for voip usage and also there is packet loss in tata wimax

how does this affect our download speed?

did u call the custome care or not ??

it doesn't have anything to do with download speed this test shows ur network latency, congestion etc, lower the ping and with 0% packet loss are signs of an good network

to use VOIP services u need fast ping times i.e <180 ms and 0% packet loss, i disconnected MTNL, airtel and sify just because of this, i am very heavy voip user the kind of voice clarity I've got in reliance broadband(wired) is mind blowing and also I've run pings up to 5000 replies only 2 get lost in 5000!!! download speed is not issue main point is how efficient ur connection and ISP is, i use 400kbps plan but when using VOIP calling upload is 9kBps and download 7kBps is required, that's the reason i told u to check that ping.
