    Default Please help....New to WiMAX

Hello, i have a wierd problem here. I had applied for a WiMAX connection about a week back and their guys came and installed the hardware, and also shows me how to open internet explorer and type the address and then when the login page comes up, enter the credentials and login. This went fine and I could see a login page prompt up after entering any address..

But now, today my connection got activated. And when I do the same thing which I did the last week, the login page does not come up. In the status bar in firefox, it first says "connecting to google.com"..."waiting for google.com"...then "connecting to (some IP address )"...and then after around 5-10 seconds..."Problem loading page"...

I called the customer care and they said they would send someone within 24 hours. But I would like to know if this is something which often happens with WiMAX and if there is any solution to it.

Another thing...but I dont know how...but these two pages open.
    reliancebroadband dot co dot in
    rcom dot co dot in

Even the reliancebroadband dot co dot in has the login page, but when i enter the credentials provided by them, it says "authentication failed"...

But the issue is, why doesnt the login page come up ?

    Thanks in advance.

    hi

ok i also i have a reliance wimax, never faced any such issues.

1)now try this, type the address reliancebroadband.co.in on the IE and do not take it from the drop down list, u will get the home page

    2) now the issue of authnetication failed--this occurs when u have not logged out of the reliance, whenver u are shutting down ur system u need to log out of of the reliance wimax

    3) now call the cc and tell them about u getting authentication failed issue. They will tranfer ur line to the tech dept and they will reset ur password and hopefully ur problem will be resolved

    Default Reliance WImax Problems

If it is first time problem, then check with the customer care quickly. They will respond sooner or later, so please be patient. Their customer care if 24x7. But few will be available late into midnight. So be patient here as well.

I have noticed changes in technical support recently in that they are trying to solve lot of such problems from their end without the need to send somebody to our house. This is good.

I also face this "authentication failed" problem on rare occasions. But I think this is a temporary phenomenon. I go to static IP, resync the connections. Wait for 5 minutes. Then the connection will be live.

I try this few times till I do not get the "authentication failed" message. If that persists, I quit and call the customer care. In few hours that gets fixed. And I login again as usual. You will get used to this.

dude i think the connectivity in your area is not good wimax works on radio frequencies if you are facing the problem from day 1 it means that it will not get resolved, suppose if they resolved with in few days again the problem persists. i know well regarding wimax because am working in Metamax wimax service providers it provides the service in maharastra and andhra.

You are facing a problem from day 1 means it will not get resolved if it was working fine from day 1 you will never face a problem
