Are u sure its 10 kbps and not 10 kBps
1 kBps (kilo Bites per sec) = 8 kbps (kilo bits per sec)
10 kBps would mean 80 kbps which is a fairly good speed as the speed of wireless CDMA dial-up varries from 55-100 kbps on average
@ MODs pl. move this thread to the mobile section.
The speed is dependent upon the location of the nearest Reliance tower. Also high rising buildings may also turn out to be a foe. I have heard Reliance hooking up extra antennas at the premises of certain subscribers to boost the connectivity.
Besides 144kbps = 18 kBps.
dude what type of site u r using to check speed ?when reliance net connect was launched years ago when reliance towers are very less compared today i get speeds of 17.5kBps ,140kbps constant also that time reliance tower was 1.2 km far from my location by using there 1st samsung handset through data cable which priced at 1500 that time!! now these days on reliance USB modem i get speeds of 16-17.5 kBps,i've seen most of people compliant reliance about speed connectivity but i found them genuine u wont believe near my home there are 4 reliance towers one in every direction also when i am out of home i get promised speeds.
yes .. the problem here seems to be a bit of confusion between kbps and kBps .. u can check your connection speed using Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test or some small bandwidth monitoring software like DU meter etc
