I am a Reliance Wimax customer for past 6 months and everything works for me. I am using Linksys WRH54G with this connection.
To start with I was not a very big fan of Wimax but I moved to new apartment and no one (BSNL, Airtel) were ready to give me a Landline and DSL connection. So I approached Reliance for Wimax and took the connection and they took a request for Landline and DSL
So now after 6 months, I have Reliance Landline as well as Reliance DSL Broadband, Landline is working but DSL Broadband wont work. I have the ZTE DSL Modem provided by Reliance.
I am not getting the Reliance IP Address whatsoever. Opening Reliance Homepage is out of question. I haven't added my Wireless Router Linksys WRH54G to this equation yet, its still connected to my Wimax
I have tried all the basic things like, LAN Setting, obtain IP and DNS automatically. Wimax over WRH54G was completely shut off, so there was no conflict.
The lights on the ZTE Modem are blinking fine, but I cant get to it by 192.168.1.1. I see the LAN as "Unidentified Network"
Reliance CS is helpless. My hunch is that this got something to do with the MAC which is registered with Reliance Wimax. I am not sure.
How do I make sure that Reliance see a different MAC address on my Landline DSL connection?? Can MAC address conflict be the problem. I haven't tried connecting using a different laptop which is not connected earlier using Reliance Wimax
I am missing something? What do you think is the problem?
Thanks
