    Default Wifi with Reliance BroadNet

I have recently taken a Reliance Broadnet connection. They have provided with ADSL modem. Can I connect a Wifi router to the modem. What about the usage of multiple devices at one time. Reliance has a different authentication system. Can a laptop and PC be used at the same time if I put Wifi router

Yes, you can, though Reliance will not support or advise for residential connections.

My experience has been that an ADSL modem with a separate wifi router works better than a combined ADSL modem+router (the combined one does not get an IP assigned at times).

Yes you can connect Reliance Broadnet Broadband through wifi. It can either be using Reliance's ADSL Modem & seperate wifi router or a combined ADSL modem+router, both ways it works fine.

But i am not sure if it can be shared over multiple systems.. any inputs on this are welcome!

@ Glass, i have been using Beetel 440TXI (combined ADSL modem+router) with reliance broadnet since 2 months & never encountered any problem.. It works fine for me.

Yes, you can share it over multiple systems - one system each per LAN port on the router and technically as many as 250+ systems over wifi.

May be to do with your location, or you connect in bridge mode. I am in Hyderabad and face this issue of the ADSL router not getting an IP once every week or so. It works fine a few hours later; I have tried this with several ADSL routers.

Do you user MER mode to connect? If it is in bridge mode, you don't face this issue, but you can not connect multiple systems.

    Hi Jainanshal,

Please help me to configure Beetel 450 TC1 (combined ADSL modem + router) to access reliance broadband over wifi. If possible please send me detailed steps / procedures to my email kaushalmistry@gmail.com.

    Thanks,
    Kaushal Mistry

Default finally i connected belkin g to my reliance broadnet!!

i was facing a problem with connecting into the net after setting up a wifi. i have a reliance broad net connection which provided me billion adsl modem n i purchased a BELKIN G wifi router. it juat wouldn't work through normal installation!!! finally i called the BELKIN call center and they walked me through.
So, if any of you are still struggling; let me be of help:
    1) type 192.168.2.1 on your IE add bar. You'll be directed to the Belkin page.
    2) on the left hand side you'll see restore factory settings. Click it! a password prompt is seen. if u haven't set ny leave it blank and click submit! Your router should automatically reboot in abt 25sec.

    3) click Connection type under the Internet WAN tab on the left again click submit if you don't have a password. Follow through and click on DYNAMIC and the NEXT. Name Ur ISP provider and submit changes for WAN MAC Address. save. the router probably reboots again.

    4) Still under the Internet WAN tab is MAC address:-click on it; further click the CLONE button. Apply changes. and there you are done!!!

While performing these tasks, keep an eye on the Internet Status. ITS THE VERY FIRST LINE ON THE PAGE! IF IT SHOWZ CONNECTED , ur good to go! happy computing!!
