Thumbs up Need help in configuring WiFi Router for Reliance Broadband connection

    Hi All,

Please help me to configure "Beetel 450 TC1" Wireless modem/router so that I can access my Reliance broadband connection thru wifi connection.

"Beetel 450 TC1" Wireless router does not have "WAN" Port at the back of it, it only has the port where you can hook up your telephone line. Hence, I am unable to use it in traditional way.

Upon contacting and googling, I came to know that Reliance broadband modems are bridged and the authentication happens over the portal in a web browser.

Please somebody guide me with complete set of steps so that I can configure it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kaushal Mistry.

Ultimately I have resolved the above issue. I am now able to connect Reliance Broadnet using the above mentioned modem/router.

If anybody experiencing the same issue can take my help. Its an easy setup now.

    Thanks,

    Kaushal

    congrats.
The thread is incomplete, without your solution.
You might have observed, in any forum, a solution if
    effective is ALWAYS/MOSTLY
    confirmed/posted by the thread starter
    or by other contributers.

If you have not activated email notification in your USERCP
,any body wanting the solution, posting the request here
may not get response from you

    PARA two:
Using the Reliance ADSL modem ( zx zte 831AII ??)
    connect the computer normally. Then
the Rj45 from computer end to
LAN1 of Beetel 450BX.Then connect another Rj45 from Lan2 to computer.
    WIFI will work for laptop.
    Confirm.

    Additional reference :
for similar modem/router/wifi with same hardware board.

You have to use PPPoE mode instead of Bridge mode.

if you need step by step instructions
    select WA3002_g1 menu from
    web site Calcutta Telephones

    http://www.calcuttatelephones.com/da...all/mdm08.html
A link with screenshots also available. will post if needed.
    http://www.maharashtra.bsnl.co.in/ssa/nashik/wa3002.htm
In router select "Always On" PPP/PPPoE
enable DHCP and give a range .
    In computer
    TCP/Ip properties
obtain Ip address automatically both in Desk top and laptop.
    Feedback.

    Modem wifi router WA3002-G1
Did you check the Maharastra link given , which has screen shots of this modem/router.?
or the step by step instructions given in Calcutta telephones web site ?
Simply PPP/PPPoE option is selected in WAN
page of a modem. Enter your UserID/PW etc.
If you select 'Bridged" THEN you have to
use a "Dialer" externally and enter userID/PW
everytime you want to connect to Internet.

Confirm how you connect now .

    Default reliance more authentication problem

hi, thanks for ur response. i hav went through those sites. but in reliance they did not provide any modem. they jus gav MTA6328-1be2s. i don't know wat it is. but the matter is, i'm gettin ethernet cable from outside(from main connection) not the telephone line.
this kit gives telephone line and ethernet(lan 1 and lan 2) output. in reliance they hav user id and password. at a given time only one computer can login. no sharing is possible.

    @Nagar0001
1.Please confirm whether you got any adsl modem from Reliance.

2 Please see this thread .
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tml#post208783 (UTSTAR WA3002-G4 quick reference)
Beetel 450BX is same as Utstar WA3002-G4
    Chennai link has screen shots.
You can try "DIALER" mode first.
    Then try WIFI.
( Usually we need "Always On" PPP/PPPoE connection,
but in Reliance it seems not possible.
    3.
    Select "Bridged "in wan page.
    In lan page enable DHCP.
    Try.
    Feedback.
    4.
Confirm you have Windows 7 operation system for another method.

    5.Procedure:
    START RUN type cmd
    Ok
    New window
    type ipconfig /all

copy/paste data for both LAN and WLAN .

    report if link not available.
    7.
See post No 3 also. for reliance vpi/vci 0 and 35.

8.. Reliance must have supplied an adsl splitter. The PHOne in different room can be
connected to PHONE port . If not supplied . buy additional adsl splitter for the phone.
Rj11 to modem port can go direct tp Reliance Phone junction.
