Hi, So finally after fiddling around a lot with modem settings & searching google... i finally found a way to share Reliance Broadnet Internet Connection on WiFi.
Here's the procedure for all those who wants to fulfill the following objective:
Objective - Aim is to share broadband connection between 2 or more devices using WiFi connectivity with login at only one device while other devices share internet connection from the first device.
Devices may include wifi enabled laptops, mobile phones or various others.
Requirement - Software --> Connectify & Windows 7
Hardware --> Windows 7 certified wireless adapter
Log on to Connectify website for information on how to download, installation n usage FAQs & supported cards (cannot paste the url here, search google for connectify).
My current connection system: I connect to Internet on my laptop through WiFi by entering Username & password on reliance login page. After that i 'Start Hotspot' on the Connectify Interface & my laptop turns into a Wireless Router.
My mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy Spica running on Android) detects the Wireless network & after connection, can use the Reliance Broadnet Internet directly.
At this point of time, my laptop's wifi is doing 2 things simultaneously,
1 Its connected to a router.
2 Itself is acting as a wireless router.
Use the guide mentioned on the Connectify support page to learn how to set up your laptop as a wireless router, once you are done with this, other devices will detect the WiFi network & can connect to it.
If you face any difficulty in making connection, go through the support page content on Connectify website as its self explanatory, otherwise post here.
Enjoy!!![]()
