Default Reliance I Mbps plan- What's the Download & Upload speed?

I'm currently in Kolkata and planning to move to Reliance Zoom 1 Mbps Plan if looks good.

Could anybody, who is using this plan can confirm the Download & Upload speed that we will get. I checked the Reliance Website. It shows Download speed as 1 Mbps but i can't figure out the Upload speed.

    Thanks in advance!!!

You will get average 125 to 128Kilobytes Download Speed if the sites server is perfectly allrite and there are no Speed fluctuations and Upload Speed may fluctuate a lot while uploading on YouTube, Rapidshare etc, You can get the promised Download Speed but the Upload Speeds may vary according to Websites but it will never excede 128Kilobytes per second, that's the maximum Speed you will get in 1Mbps plan.

I know that Reliance has no FUP. So Downloads are UL. Does this mean uploads are also in UL???

Asking this because as far as I know No ISP provides UL speeds in both the directions.

I'm using Reliance 600 Kbps unlimited for Rs. 649/month. From torrents, I get 65-75 Kbps dl and 50-60 Kbps ul speed. Direct downloads are anywhere between 70-80 Kbps.

For 1 Mbps, add 45 Kbps to the above dl values.

I've converted my plan to the combo 600 as well.

Yes, whole day the upload speed is 50-60 kBps. At night, it shoots to 100+ kBps.

this was very usefull.. looks like Reliance is the best option with no FUP, true unlimited download and consistent speed.

    I will go for it.

Getting the sppeds to download or to upload is fine but the matter is the location where you use the internet.
Is it true what the Reliance guy told that they give the connection from theit servers directly and do not divide one line to multiple users?

    I live in Coimbatore

    Default Hey

Hey guys I am new to this forum and I have been using reliance broad connection for the past 3 months now I have a 1 mbps connection and I did a series of tests at speedtest.net utorrent and Mipony download manager with a Modem Booster installed and I got some whopping results that I would like to share with you
This is my best download speed test over the 3 months.
    12.51 MB/s Download
    and 1.54MB/s Upload
This is my best upload speed result test
    5.67Mb/s Upload
    2.31 Mb/s Download
    Average Download Speed
    1.62 Mb/s
    Average Upload Speed
    1.88 Mb/s
Also I get about average of 135-140 kbps download when downloading from Mipony download manager from Megaupload or rapidshare with acceleration via Modem booster and about 120 -125 via utorrent as modem booster does not support P2P acceleration.
Please let me know what you think
