I just got my reliance connection activated and on a whole note the speed is good. But after downgrading from 256kpbs unlimited (from you telecom) it does feel a little sluggish.

Well the most pathetic thing about reliance is that they still provide only LAN modems. I mean the every PC now has USB ports and the least they could do is provide LAN + USB modems. I had to get a LAN card just to use reliance connection. My previous connection was via USB

Even BSNL provides USB modems and OMG Wireless routers too . I actually wanted connectivity to both my Laptop and PC and a wireless router would be the best choice, but after reading BSNL reviews on this forum, I decided to go for reliance. For the time being I'm a manually switching b/w my PC and Laptop for connectivity. But it is high time that reliance catches up the the times and provides USB modems at least.

And even more funny is that job completion sheet that the tech. dept. guys gave to me -

It mentions CPE type (i.e Modem) with 2 checkboxes:
ADSL modem with USB interface
ADSL modem with US and Ethernet Interface

Funny I did not get either of the two models.
