Default Broad band selection reliance or airtel or mtnl delhi

    Well guys i need help.

Am a webmaster, not proud to be that as yet am not to sucess in it and i brlive coz it of my internet. Currently am using Airtel Gprs "Nop" & Mobile Office" which is get sucking day by day.

So i have made some plans and sorted out Mtnl , reliance , Airtel.
Before that i want give my views to above this Ips.
    1. Mtnl - well as all other Ips they have too Poitive and negative views , But as they are Gov. am even not sure how much months take it for start giving me their service.
    2. Airtel - well expensive and have no unlimited plan for delhi they have only 256kbps unlimed and other unlimited Has Fup after that there speed reduces.
    4. Relaince - Nice plans but heared that this is worst in Isp.

    What i have selected.
    1. Mtnl - Trib ul -256 - rs.599 - 512 kbps
    2. Airtel - Value Combo 749 - Rs.749-256.kbps
    3. Reliance - Surf Addiction 300 or Combo 600 -*

Now problem is my parents not supporting me. They do't want net and me in same house atleast.

So am confused about all plans that i mention above.
    Lets start from ..
    Mtnl-
    1. I have no landlines. Nor i want to buy for broadband as i said my parents are not in my favour.
    2. Did i need modem or they provide as i think they do provide and charge us 300 and some security deposits but am not too much clear..
    3. Which payment will be at starting and which will be on end of moth like on bill.[please include how much i have to pay when net start working and how much in bill]

    Airtel
1.Value Combo need landline too or what.
    2. Speed of demand - is this is something which can access instantly .
    3. Same above what about modem did they provide it.
    4. Which payment will be at starting and which will be on end of moth like on bill.[please include how much i have to pay when net start working and how much in bill]

    and almost same for reliance
1.Value Combo need landline too or what.
    2. Same above what about modem did they provide it.
    3. Which payment will be at starting and which will be on end of moth like on bill.[please include how much i have to pay when net start working and how much in bill]

Am a student so i have no regular income yet but start to generate some penny in paypal and i believe it becomes more if owned a better internet this.

    ....
If you feels any three of this then an sorry.
    1. Am crazy , why do't i just call customer care and do it myself - sorry i got lazy ass.
    2. Am little bit .... - yes i am and i can help it out.
    3. My englis is not good. - ya i know but still feel proud that there is something that i learnet from net.

Since I am not based in Delhi, no opinion about the services of MTNL/AIRTEL and Reliance BB services can be given.
Tariif plans and charges usually mentioned in Isp's websites.

NONE. it actually depends on your Area. People praise Airtel and it SUCKS in my area. and BSNL rocks here.....so it depends mostly on the area.

and why you dont want a landline ? there are plans where you dont have to pay anything as rent for land-line if you opt for broadband. so the final bill is just broadband charge + tax ..thats it...you dont make any phone calls using landline then...simple.

I think Airtel is the best.

For some areas Airtel ppl charges 1000/- as installation charges, but in my area installation is free.

For Rs 749/- plan, you get 500 Airtel-Airtel phone calls free and free 150 Rs Recharge on your Airtel Cell Phone.

They give free phone and their is no rent for either phone or Modem, so don't worry about that.

& NOW as you know Airtel is doubling the speeds, so for you it will be 512 KBPS UL instead of 256 KBPS UL by June.

    Default You can select here

Bharti Airtel:The good provider of broadband services in india but here if you are a heavy downloader please be careful as airtel has the FUP which will effect your download speed after you reach the amount of data set by airtel
Even if you play online games which consume huge space then also the FUP problem is there:
REF TO:Broadband Plans- Broadband Tariffs- Internet Connection Provider in India:Airtel

Mtnl Triband:The govt. powered broadband connections are fast, safe and reliable, but be sure to check the availability in your area as many face the disconnection issue, for downloaders, surfers and online gamers the triband is the "Perfect" solution, here you can download as much as you want plus you won't have to deal with the FUP
    REF TO:Broadband

The Ambani's:The private owners provide broadband services to various location of the India, hence you will find good unlimited packages in reliance broadband too, plus point is same as the mtnl no FUP at all!
REF TO:Reliance Internet Connection available on Postpaid & Prepaid with enhanced features

I would suggest you to go for the "coMbo plans" as they offer you unlimited usage with free calls!
Be wise to choose the isp,if any doubts, please let us know!

So thanks for replay guys really thanks.
    And

1.Is landline is really necessary. Ya i understand they give free phone and no rental but means i do't want that then what.
2.What about modem is cpe is modem and did they provide modem.

Well currently i do't own a laptop but who has seen future.

If i go for wifi router did then there will anything need in my desktop.if yes how much it costs.

Well i do't think i should go for airtel coz they have fup problem.

Mtnl rocks but i will want quick net connection so i will first check weather they provide by existing line or they do it for me if only for me then no way i will skip it to reliance.

1.In Triband(MtnL),Landline is necessary,In airtel it is necessary, come to reliance,if you select combo plans which include free calls, then it is necessary, otherwise flat fee plans are always there to connect you to broadband without landline,
In Mtnl and airtel, you don't have a choice! They are mandatory

2.Modem=Consumer Premises Equipment,No differences,it's not free but ya they did provide you modem, the choice is your's,either purchase from them or they provide it on rental basis too!

Wifi routers are optional here becuase u don't have a laptop, still if you still want it,ask them to provide you the wifi one,not the wired! It's cost u have to confirm, coz i only know about Bsnl,Sorry
Wired connection is always faster then wifi
So i would not suggest you!since you have a desktop!

Mtnl or any other service provider provides you broadband on the same line,
Now a days Govt. powered connections are given within a week or 10 days time Max.

However,i would suggest you the Mtnl
As a student,go for the 599 plan,it suits you the best! And yes your bill will be around 661 rupees as 599 has 10.3% tax included too!
Because u have no income source, don't burden your family for such a extra waste money by going to higher plans, coz as a student i believe that 64KB/S or 512kbps is ok for you,Yes if you cross 100 free calls given with this plan, you will be charged according to the calls you will make!

    @kadamba

am not sure but we can buy new laptop.

Do you really think wifi becomes noticeable slow when both router and lappy is in room or house.
    .........

Mtnl charges 800 rs for wifi modem but till i have no lappy or if i want to use it on desktop did't i need any equipment to connect with pc or did they router have usb mode too.

And did i need to pay modem with installation fees or with bill.
    ...
And is in mtnl shifting plan is easy.

    ...
What is coverage of wifi router
and what is coverage in wifi [i think wifi router and wifi card [like most of lappy have inbuilt] are different]

If you are planning for laptop, then go for the wifi one and yes their router have usb!
Ya,yor actual download speed will be slow comparatively wired connection as i already mentioned that the speed becomes slow
Referring to:Wireless vs Wired LANs - Building the Right Home Network will clear all your doubts about wifi and wired lan!
Ethernet is faster then usb and not sure whether mtnl provides usb port with wifi modems! The router can connect to desktop and wifi both!No Equipment required!just configure you modem to (PPPOE)
No,modem price will be charges in bill alongwith the landline bill
just call 1504 and make a plan change request!Your's will be changed
Coverage of wifi router is like this:
As you get more far way the signal decreases and goes on decreasing, the signal strength depends, now a days, the new standard "N" has arrived, ask them if they have the "N" series routers not the "G" standard, because B/G/N are the three standards of routers,Among of them "N" IS THE best
Ya Wifi cards in laptop and wifi routers are different!

    ^^^^ Not correct.

Wired or wireless, you will get the same download/upload speed. The Broadband speed, even for the best available plan, will not be more that 8 mbps in India. Wireless network works at 54 mbps.

    It is correct!
There will be less speed if wifi is used for downloading and the speed difference will be there

    @kadamba and just4kix

well i disagree you both and agrees too.

I have not used it well but what i can say is that wiseless may effect your speed of surfing and downloading but out any noticeable difference.

Any way anybody know how much it cost to have a wifi [reciever-to connect with router]

and did some of wifi lan also can be used as wireline [means have capability of wireless and wireline with same router.]

Ya, there is a difference, however the difference in speed is not that much, all you have to do is purchase a "N" standard router!
