One of the Reliance broadband net ka mara.

I used to have Sify net. I had an unlimited download scheme. Iam a heavy downloader, as I reached a certain amount of the Data downloaded the net would conk. Whenever I called the Sify guy in my area, the cell kept ringing. One fine day I went there and ringged him in front of him and he didnt pick it but put that on silent ( He didnt know it was me who had called ). I immidiately said no to the connection.

And shifted to MTNL, Beleive me, It is the best there is. My problem is that it is too expensive as there is no unlimited download scheme in MTNL. The bill went haywire.

So, then I took Reliance broadband.

Eight months ago, I had filled a form for Reliance Net. They said that they will also introduce TV with the fibre optics. The installation was free at that time.

Well, I never got the connection for six months and on top off it my name was also not on the list. They said that they had misplaced some of the forms. Mine was one of them. I was lucky enough that the manager was THE person who had initially filled my form and after a lot listening they gave me a connection.

I have been using the broadband for the last 2 months and surprisingly I have never had a problem with my net. It has been just non-stop usage from my side. I have downloaded Gbs and Gbs of data, not a problem. ( Touch Wood ) so far.

Angry Very bad service

Customer service of reliance broadband is very bad. They will never solve your problem within 5 call. I don't recommend anybody to take a reliance braodband connection.
the downtime(connection down) is very high.

Hi mjb950,

I agree with you on the customer service bit......read my previous posts on the subject !.5 calls too are not enough. I had to call 25 times and still my problem was not resolved. I asked for the nodal officers information for escalation, which they refused to provide to me. I wrote around 15 stinkers to them when they finally gave me the nodal officers info.

I had already found the nodal officer contact nos ON MY OWN and got my issue resolved through him :-) but I still kept on pestering them to provide me the info.

But I disagree with you on the downtime. The connection is gives the max speed as per your plan consistently.

cheers

I agree with mjb950 on the downtime

i have reliance connection for about 4 days now and it was down 1 whole day
When it works i get consisted speed which i should be getting no complains for that but yesterday the whole day i was just waiting for my comp to get an IP

I had installed windows XP service pack 3 on my system and taught that as SP3 is new that might not be compatible with reliance system so uninstalled it but still did not get an IP.

Reliance downtime is bad , speed is good

Thumbs down Viper... in ur blood???

Welcome to the club of RELIANCE.. as GARDEN CITY BOY states in our forum.. read read and read...

From now on, you will be visiting this forum regularly in search of solutions and in search of supporters for you.

But pal, order of the day is NOTHING DOING WITH RELIANCE.

You are CURSED.... with reliance WIMAX.
ha ha ha......

OK, on a serious note,
1. try to find out how far is the base station from your home.
2. signal strength of ur antenna
3. try getting the contact of the local server team number and speak with them to find if there is consistency in ur signal strength. Cos, this is essential to avoid packet losses.
4. Record all your complaints in a file.. this is very very imp for claiming refunds.
