Default Is Linksys WAG120N not compatible with Reliance network?

I was told by the Linksys Tech support that WAG120n ADSL2 modem+router does not work with Reliance connection. For Reliance I already have an ADSL modem and per that guy, I should have bought only the router WRT120N as the modem capability in WAG120N is not compatible with Reliance network and works only with Airtel, BSNL, MTNL, Tata indicom etc.

Is this true? Anybody any idea before I switch to a different provider which is compatible with WAG120N. Because in India, as you know, I can't get my router replaced since I have opened the pack

    Thanks for your help,
    Shantanu

I don't see any reason it should not work. Only you have to replace your existing Reliance router with this one and set it up correctly. The settings should be available on this forum with a search.

Mention ADSl modem make/model/number supplied by Reliance.
VPI VCI of Reliance , I think is 0 and 35. enter in WAG120N.

You may be using Dialer mode ( " bridged" box in Wan Page )
    confirm.

For "bridged" mode for linksys wag120N. http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...?p_faqid=20595
Para two : With Reliance modem, when connected to Internet
in Computer ( do not change any settings )
    START RUN type cmd
    Ok
    new window
    type ipconfig /all
Copy paste the data here without edit.
You may need to enter same DNS in WAg120N.
