Unhappy Reliance Broadband=Only <60% speed of what You pay for

Reliance Broadband Cheating Customers by Giving Much Lower Speed Than As In The Tariff Plan
    __________________________________________________ ___________________________________________

I have taken reliance wireline broadband in Yerwada..Pune,MH. 1 week ago Post-Paid Plan 1499 Which promises to proveide speed of 1MBPS (128 Kb/s dl)
    in Day [8 A.M to 10 P.M] and 2MBPS ( 256 Kb/s dl) in night [10 P.M to 8 A.M]. But right from the first day i am receiving much
slower speed than the plan. In Torrents i get speeds around 60-100 kb/s in day and 100-150 kb/s in night which should be 128 kb/s
in day and 256 kb/s in night. Sometimes Speed gets as low as 50 kb/s both in day and night. Till today i have made 3 complaints
in customer care. But they do nothing. Rather they say u will never get full speed in reliance broadband, We cant help it. Speed
You Will receive will be minimum >70%. I had gone through the customer complaint pdf in rcom.in website it says. Speed should be
minimum >80%. from isp node to customer. So what a Strange company.. Websites says something and customer care says something else. Till Today i never
receieved 100% speed... and not even >70% at a constant rate for more than a hour....the average speed i receive is 40%-60% of what
i pay for. I have never seen such a big cheater in broadband...as reliance communications. I have used Bsnl, Tata and Airtel and
always received 90%-110% speed and exelenct customer service. I Changed to reliance from Tata because they came up with a good plan.
but alas! They are big cheaters, rather i would say big nuts... their broadband business is not going to survive....for a long time
if they go this way..i can predict... i have spoken to many people in this forum who are using reliance broadband.. all say same thing
they never received full speed....if my problem is not solved in a week more i will make a complaint in consumer forum. And then will
terminate this isp and will switch back to Best Broadband interms of Customer Value...Tata Indicom...

I think reliance broadband is giving some junk cablewala type broaband in name of dsl 1:1 dedicated bandwitdh connection.. Even in the
rcom.in website in tariff plans no where is written that speed is upto 2 mbps....they write as 2mbps.. which means speed shall be deicated..
but all knows....rcom is famous for doing frauds....very disappointed from a brand which is among top 3 in volume in India. It might be
among top 3 brand in Volume and revenue but very soon it will have 0 Brand Value and 0% customer satisfaction.

Please share Your experiences regarding speed issue in reliance wireline broaband

    Thank You All

    - Jeet

    Default try Speedtest

Jeet, Download speed for Torrents will depend on may factory, however have you tried speedtest.net to benchmark your connection.

dude its completely wrong, maybe there is a problem in ur area, i'm using both wire line & wimax and getting 100% speeds

wimax speed on 1.2 mbps plan

    i'm getting 2mbps+

upload and ping is bit slow but its negligible

Metro Ethernet wireline speed on 1mbps combo

wireline ping and upload is bit fast

and do tell me are you using Metro Ethernet wire line or ADSL?

do one thing go to run and type "ping 62.189.6.22 -t" and post the result.

I have had my share of bad experiences with Reliance BB and Reliance Mobile. Yes, a few subscribers enjoy it while the rest of us feel cheated.

However, you have quoted speeds while downloading via torrents. Please post the speed results while doing http downloads. Maybe you are experiencing slower speeds due to an unhealthy torrent file.

kindly run a virus scan in ur pc,i've seen lots of complaints of speed slow and most of them are having because of flaw in user pc.

    OMG

2000ms response time!!! you will be surprised that i'm getting 161ms to 62.189.6.22 which is the ip of European server and the second ip i gave you is gateway ip of Reliance which should not give RTO in any case kindly mail the screen-shot of you ping and mail it to broadband@relianceada.com and tell them that your area is facing huge congestion the ips i've given you should not get that high pings that's the reason you are not getting you promised speeds because you network is choked up.

    @ jeet_srimani

If you face any issues with reliance, first blast them on phone and give them 24 hours notice.

If nothing happens in 24 hours, tell them very politely to disconnect the connection tomorrow. Repeat it all the time with same tone, if possible with a crying tone. Take the cancellation request # too.
Your issue should get resolved within couple of hours.
Don't forget to cancel your complaint # next day.
    It has worked for me.
    Talk tough the first time.
Plead to terminate the connection after 24 hours.

hmmm.... doesn't reliance have different gateways for each state?(don't know anything about them though)
coz for me it's 123.237.216.1 and i'm from bangalore...
i've tested "123.238.20.1" and even i get RTO, or is it the gateway for users in pune?........ haven't learnt about networks yet
