    Default Configuration Help

    Hello,

I have just purchased a new Reliance broadband connection. The supplied modem works fine when plugged straight into a desktop or laptop. However, it does not work if I plug it into my router - it will work fine as long as only one user uses the connection, but if a second user joins the network, then it stops working for either user.

I am unable to access the settings of the modem - it would be very helpful if someone can tell me how to do this. As for the router, I have set it up to share a public ip address using NAT. It works flawlessly with my old BSNL modem, so I don't think the router is the problem.

    Any help is much appreciated!

Presume you have to use a Dialer ( in computer) to connect
    to reliance Broadband connection.

    1.
    When connected to Internet
    Start type run cmd
    ok
    new window
    typeipconfig /all
    copy/paste data here.

    2. Mention adsl modem/make/type/number supplied by bsnl.

    3. The default gateway In No 1 above is modem access. admin admin usually.

    4. When connected to Internet remove the Rj45 from computer end.
    connect to LAN1 of router.
take another rj45 and connect to computer.

Use Reliance DNS as shown in No 1 above.
    feedback.

Configure your modem in PPPoE mode and try.
