Had to format and resintall my OS.....kinda goofed up in between and lost my data.
Have been recovering and organizing it since then.
The hub will be back up soon.

i hav also taken the connection of 600kbps unlimited.
and its under wirefree section in rcom.co.in
but they r giving me that connection through a wire frm terrace.they told on terrace they'll place a big box wch'll be takin signal frm d nearest reliance tower its wireless??
they also took 2206 Rs ka cheque frm me includin installation n vat
please sum1 reply,m gonna get the connection installed by tuesday
will i be able to get lan speeds (in mb/sec) frm nidakhan hub n jax hub through it?

I am also getting the connection thru a wire from my terrace.
And no the big box isnt wireless.

If they were giving u a WiFi router at ur home thru which u wud connect wire free wud be a true WiFi(wireless) connection.
The charge of Rs.2206 is for how many months. I'm guessing 3
And yes with such a connection you will be getting speeds in MB/s

dude,i was gettin 300kb/sec frm the jaxx89/nida hub yesterday but today the reliance engineer installed a static ip in my tcp/ip and now m gettin 20-30kb/sec max
can u pleeaseee help me out

after stalling me for 4 whole days,today the technical department guy called me n told that in my plan its not possible to delete my static ip
so now i again hav to call cust care n giv them another request of terminating my account & then again register for the combo plan
so i called them and they told me that,it will take 7 days to terminate and then the agents will come at ur home n show u the combo plans
now m afraid if the same agents r gonna come will they allow me to swirch plans,or they'll say that i'll hav to go with this plan itself or terminate reliance completely
hope they send their own engineer and not sum freakin agents

One of my friend suggested me Relaince wimax. I have called to it center in vadodara made a deal of 1MBPS of wimax. I was bit urgent to install it and Max time periods i was having was one week. but after fixing a deal and given cash of Rs. 2650 all things has been changed drastically.
Even after 10 days nothing has happened and there was no installation process take place. I had tried to called reliance guys but for next 3 to 4 days they ware just receiving a phone and was telling me that it will be done by tomorrow. As i was having urgency I keep calling them even after 3 or 4 days but now no body ware there to picking up my call.
I even dont know where to register a complain for the same. I rushed to nearer reliance office where that executive sit and explain me the Reliance wimax but after reaching that office there is no one whom i can contact to and the manager of that office told me that this office is for Reliance Communication and not for wimax. eventually I made a call from office to that Wimax guy and cancelled my connection.

No I am suffering to get my money back. even after 3 months they are showing me date 1 and 15 every months.

Please do not buy any Reliance product. it is wrost in the world and no service at all. Go for it only when you are mawali kind of person and you have ample of time for abusing and fight particular in Gujarat reason.

Have you guys tried using p300...my friends and I use it share our files....its p2p....maybe its not as fancy as the DC++ thing....but it gets the job done....please check it out...this is the address...p300.eu

as I mentioned earlier you just joined and made 2 posts...and both of them about some software, of course it sounds like advertisements.

does a hub require a host who is permanently online....or atleast most of the time....or is it just a sum of the peers....

in p300 u don't need a host or anything....

Of course the host needs to be online permanently or most of the time.
Hosting a hub is just like hosting a server. For the users to connect the hub must be up.
DC is not a Direct P2P. It requires a host and client software.
I, in this case have both as I am hosting this hub.
Other users just need the client software to connect and share.
Reliance to reliance speeds are upto 10Mbps
The same goes for other ISP's, but the host needs to be from the same ISP I think.
As I mentioned even in my PM, DC allows for LAN type connectivity for users on the same network.(Some users achieve speeds as per their subscribed connection at times due to difference in connectivity)

There are softwares out there which help create FTP, HTTP website servers also.

p300 sounds good for one on one transfers with someone in particular. It can be used instead of ftp servers.

does ur hub also give LAN speeds on WiiMax connections?
i hv heard of of users getting LAN speeds on BroadNet but never on WiiMAX,if WiiMAX supports LAN speeds then i might just switch to WiiMAX from my shitty Airtel filled with FUP.
my primary use for Internet is downloading, and airtel with its FUP has just made my life hell and the worst part is NOTHING else(except cable operators internet,not worth counting those) is available in my area inspite of living in Mumbai!!!!........

Sorry but only Wired(Broadnet) connections can achieve LAN speeds.
WiFi(WiMAX) connections do not get LAN speeds.
If you want to use our hub and get LAN speeds u will have to opt for a Boradnet connection only.
