    Default New Connection

Hello guys, I am playing to take a new reliance broadband connection, the tariff plan for which I want to opt is 600 Combo, the rental in which is 749 and includes 600 kbps in day with 1mbps night booster, and Rs.50 free calls.

I have a few queries for the same:
    1) I have an Airtel connection, which I want to surrender, and I have a wifi modem provided with airtel the model is Beetel 450 TC1, it has 4 ethernet ports and wifi. Now, can I use this with the reliance connection? They say that I HAVE TO PAY Rs. 500 for installation, which includes a modem, and even if I don't take the modem I'll have to pay it. So I will obviously, take the modem, now my query is the modem which they will give, which model will it be, and can use it along with my ADSL Wifi Router? My router has a modem too.
    3) I will use my 2 PC's via LAN, two laptops, and my iPod, Cell fone etc to connect via Wifi. Will they all work at the same time?
    2) Is there any chances of fair usage policy being implemented? And if it gets implemented, will the old customers suffer from it?

I am quite interested in Reliance Broadnet, and would be grateful to anyone who shares his experience about the same.

    Regards.

You can use your existing ADSL modem with Reliance BB

I am uncertain about the second query, because I have heard conflicting reports. Some state that the connection can be shared while the others say the opposite..

As of today, Reliance does not implement any fair usage policies in their broadband plans.

YES, easily with a BSNL/Airtel connection.

    2.
Probably Reliance will give you ZTE ZXDSL831 AII adsl modem with one USB port. NO wifi.
    3.
Confirm from "R" whether they can give you a wifi adslmodem/router/wifi, , saying you need to use laptop in the house / office.
    4.
Many user/s of reliance had difficulty getting wifi operation with
    Reliance landline BB connection.
    5.
Beetel 450TCI is same as UTSTAR 3001-G1 ( less help menu ) and well documented here( forum: Bsnl site/s).
    6.
Please type in SEARCH box above.wifi connection for Reliance Broadnet and see old threads.
    7.
About tariff FUP please see Reliance website/s.
    General customer satisfaction is poor.
    @rcom may respond here !!!

Depending on your computer knowledge, you may have WIFi operation/s with Reliance Broadnet landline ADSL connection.

if you had searched old threads, you could see the difficulty.

essbebe, I have searched old threads, but I have faced quite a few problems regarding BB, and tbh you have helped me to solve them quite a few times, I actually know your nick, because you helped me before with BSNL I guess, so your word has some value to me, as its trusted. and what you said
What I meant ,to say ,already available in earlier post.
I did not get where it is in old post, can you simply say yes or no to the question that multiple pc use is possible in reliance or not? Sorry for the hassle.

You should ask this question to Reliance CC. a phone call will do.
As I am not a user of Reliance BB, my comments cannot be final.

Basically I am a learner here, and searching old thread/s in this forum and other forums and Google search, I try to help newbies.
    Example
Arguing about merits of iPhone4 when both do not possess one, will be mostly theoretical "borrowed" comments/ suggestions/solutions..
Same way, neither you have a Reliance BB or myself:
    discussion is fruitless.

whether it is possible to have wifi mode with Reliance Broadband.
I base my comments on the difficulty experienced/posted by some users in getting WIFI mode with Reliance.
    2. After getting Reliance connection, repost your problem for wifi mode . members experience here not satisfactory.

I understand, I had called reliance customer care and they said that the pc vendor can configure WiFi and all, but after reading the threads here, I am not convinced with what he said. I actually believe that it doesn't work. Anyways, Thanks.

    It works.
But Reliance CC won't help you set it up.

oh I see, but I've read the threads and all, and I see its a quite difficult process, which is quite okay for me, but the connection isn't used by myself only, my sister and brother use it too, and they are not so competent with computers and I am pretty sure they wouldn't be able to connect. I just want to know that is this wifi process and using it on multiple pc's is a one time process or I have to do it every time IP changes?
