Are you sure they have feasibility in your area?,Constant Speed and Low Latency is USP of Reliance Broadband which remains intact even in peak hours, at my end their service is more than satisfactory with 0 downtime.

There is only 1 drawback with Reliance, That is there pathetic login system.

And also a pice of advice, Don't pay those sales guys untill they write and give it to you that they can give you the confirmed connection, Many times they take Rs.500 cheque and later they tell you that there is a feasibilty issue, and then you need to run after them for refund.

About this, I called for only Broadband Plan of Reliance. CC said there is a feasibility but the person who called me said that there is no feasibility in your area for Wired Connection and he offered me Wimax instead which I readily refused due to bad reviews about it on mouthshut.com

don't trust Mouthshut blindly there are lots of tom dick n harry who can go there and spread **** about reliance wimax thus to mislead people and irony is 99% have not used it they just blabber their,Wimax from reliance is currently best wireless broadband medium available also you wont lose a fortune just for trying it i'm also using wimax and its pretty stable with NIL downtime you can give a try to it if you don't like then unsubscribe it! because reliance charges only Rs 500 as installation.

Hmm sounds good. Can you kindly please post the upload and download speed ratios via a screenshot of a browser based download and upload of a 100MB+ file ?

As you need a landline based BB connection:
    check BSNL tariff plans.
    Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

I heard about the slow upload speeds. I need connection for uploading purposes. Currently I have Tata Indicom with 256 kbps upload and 500 kbps download, but that is proving inefficient for large files, which is why I am on the lookout for a new connection.

Any ADSL connection will have lower Upload speed. usually 1:8 or lesser ratio
Opt for a higher speed plan say upto 2 Mbps or 8 Mbps.

Check speed here ( server in U.K) of your TATA connection.
is it really 256 Kbps and 500 Kbps?
approx 64KB/sec download and 32KB/sec upload

Hmm, I hear Reliance is download = upload ISP. How true is that ? I am specifically asking for fixed line combo 1099 plan.

When you have reported landline based Reliance broadband connection is not available in your area ,
    and not interested in Wimax
    why discuss further Reliance option.?
    ?

OK. Extremely Sorry If I made a silly mistake but I was under impression that standalone wired broadband plans and Fixed Line Combo BB Plans are different when it comes to feasibility, is it or is it not so for reliance ?

Parden me if this sounds like the silliest question.

You can try BSNL Home UL 750. I get an upload speed of 50 KBps and download of 60 KBps.

I am from Bangalore too. I just raised a request for 1mbps day, 2mbps night unlimited plan from Reliance costing 1499. He said connection will be setup in 7 days. I havent had a bad experience with Reliance yet. (Have used Reliance Netconnect for 1.5 years now but they dont have unlimited plans)

I asked the sales rep if the plan is metro ethernet or ADSL, he said it might be either. I told him that if its ADSL, I dont want it. Why I would I pay for it when BSNL has a better ADSL plan.
