Thread: i wanna use reliance wireline broaband in more then one system

Hello guys

i just got reliance broaband that come with Utstar Ut-300r2 modem
i wanna use that more then one pc please help me.

1. Configure your modem in PPPoE.

2. Enable DHCP in the modem.

3. In the TCP/IP properties of connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

Post a screen shot of modem menu page.

but when i try to configure PPPoE i am not able to access then net.

1. Post a screen shot of modem's menu page. There might be some problem in the configuration. Will try to give a guide.

2. If yours' a new connection ask the Reliance people to do it for you.

3. If you are using Windows 7, try this

get a wi-if router

then use the lan wire for one comp and the usb port for another comp... but make sure tat u login at same time in both comp

tell me can configure that modem for more system or not

u cannot config modem because they give u login id n password, u hav to enter in there website.
the login n password will not be stored in the modem...
the only thing u can do is either use usb port n lan port at the same time or buy an wi-fi router

very simple i done modem configration..

I am also using Reliance Broadband Wire-line Connection, initially I was been provided with a Reliance Modem but now a day's I don't need that modem anymore. Could you please let me know whether the Reliance Broadband Connection which you are using comes via RJ45 or its through CAT5. RJ45 is the one which is used in LAN Port of your PC & CAT5 is telephone wire. If Reliance is providing you RJ45 then you can share you Broadband by simply buying one LAN Card or Router. I use Netgear Router for sharing my Brodband it works perfectly fine & if Reliance has provided you with RJ45 just try to connect that with your PC directly eliminating the Modem just see whether it works or not. If it works than extra LAN Card or Router is perfect way of sharing your Reliance Broadband.

The model should have both USB port/Lanport
Check here for your modem, whether listed.

hey sahil please post the setting with default ip which is to used . default ip used with BSNL will not work with Reliance..
