    The question was about maximum speed on 300kbps line and you are telling what you are getting. Your line speed on MTNL 599UL is 512kbps so for you its normal as you maximum will be 64kBps. And on my 1mbps UL its around 130kBps which is max for me. Here its not about our speed comparisons. The guy is just asking about reliance connection and you are telling about MTNL.

    It may be IP problem because after downloading some files from Rapidshare they track ypur Ip and dont allow you to download for sometime

    Once I couldnt download mediafire files from Chrome
    using IE did the trick

    Maybe these sites have a lot of adult or pirated stuff
    thats why they must have blocked it

    Contact reliance office(call center guys are dumb)
    and tell them about your problem,hopefully they will resolve it

    I use internet download manager which is freely available on net and that download was coming through Wimax.

    How come you get 45-50 on a 300 kbps link ? Even if the signal is excellent , you should get a max of 37.5 ( 300 /8) .
