Question migration from bsnl to reliance ?!!!!

    hi guys,
currently i am using home 500c connection(isp bsnl) from last few years and the service is good except few up and downs !

now i am thinking of migrating to reliance combo 749 plan ! is that plan good ?
what will be the total charges after vat and tax **** ?
my local dealer says that currently the line is a km away from my home but he says i will get my connection in 1.5 months ?? is this possible or he is just messing with me ?
i don't think so that the reliance people will lay new line for me only ?

so guys please advise me is this combo plan is best ? speeds, latency, ping, service is good or so so ?
    thanks !

If Reliance is available in your area, you can switch to them. Check availability. Do not pay any advance. Do not trust the local dealer.

The Combo 749 plan is good. You will be charged service tax at 10.3% on top of the total usage (broadband fee, voice calls, etc.).

Technically, Reliance BB is a good. They have fiber optic connectivity backbone. I cannot comment on customer care as I do not know much on that aspect.

i want to ask as my local dealer says that the reliance broadband will be provided within 2 months ? as the line is still 1 or 2 km away from my home ?

    is that possible ?

you can't trust anything.......because they took 2 months to provide a connection, when the nearest DP box was only 100m away from my home. The most irritating part was they took 3 months advance rental from me and they told me that i will get my conn. within 3-4 days.....So,don't anything in advance...

The unit DNA A211-I will work forReliance. L/L broadband.
If modem supplied by Reliance is free avail that also.
For wifi mode, ask Reliance. Many users are finding difficult to use wifi mode.

One thing is what I will advise anybody - don't think that grass is greener across the other side. As P L Deshpande, the reknown humourist said in one of his books:
A job is like your wife. Just because the neighbour's appeals more, there is no percentage in abandoning one's own.
Same applies to your products and services albiet with a little room for consideration.

So to the thread starter (arpit60), don't switch ISP because some other plan appeals to you. Switch only if you are getting very poor service.
