Default convert BSNL utstarcom wa3002-g1 modem as WAN router

    Hi

i have got bsnl utstarcom wa3002-g1 modem(adsl + router) with me..Now we are planning to disconnect bsnl and take reliance. But issue for reliance is, we can connect only one machine at a time and we have got 5 machines. Only solution is to buy a router. Is there any chance to convert the above modem as a router so that we can connect the machines to that and inturn it will be connected to reliance modem (so that we don't have to waste money on router)..Or is there any chance to connect to reliance network as PPOE as in bsnl?

    Thanx and regards
    CsK

Reliance supplied modem is for "Dialer" mode usually
    Cannot say definitely.
.Or is there any chance to connect to reliance network as PPOE as in bsnl?
Tell Reliance CC you want to use own modem
Wa3002-g1: if Reliance input Rj11 is given direct to this unit.
Connect in "Always On" PPP/PPPoE mode
( Reliance userId and PW entered in wan page of modem)
Lan ports4 and wifi may/can work.
    para two:
Give details of Reliance modem, they intend to give you.

Please check this guide. Menu pages for modem may be different but idea is same.
Note that if you want to use a wired modem + a broadband router, this procedure does not hold good. The assumption is that your broadband input comes in a cable similar to a telephone cable
    RJ11 cable.

As you are in"dialer" mode , in wan page select "MER"
usually we select "Bridged" and PPP/PPPoE.

Feedback will be useful to all Reliance users.
