    Default Why Rcom

    All major Telecom Service Providers…

    * Are large companies with national footprint.
    * Have invested huge amounts of monies.
    * Provide connectivity to end customers.
    * Provide plethora of services viz., Internet, VPN, leased lines, etc.
    * Have millions of customers across Enterprises, SMEs, SOHOs.

    Yet there is a difference.

    RCOM has…

    * Network reach
    o Over 800 global, regional and domestic carriers
    o Over 2,100 Indian and Multinational corporations
    o Providers of cutting edge connectivity to over 850 of top 1000 companies in India
    o Connecting 2.5 million individual overseas customers
    o 190,000 kms of fiber optic connecting over 1 million building across 44 cities with over 1.4 million access lines
    o 9 data centre with data storage space of over 6.5 lakh sq. ft.

    * Scalability
    RCOM uses fibre-to-the-building approach helping in creating a network with unlimited capacity and ability to support gigabit per second bandwidth services for customers.

    * Network architecture
    Architecturally the network is generations ahead of other incumbent networks in India. A ring protected FTTB architecture that gives an enhanced uptime.

    * End-to-end owned infrastructure
    Only RCOM has a fully end-to-end owned infrastructure with last mile access, nationally as well as internationally, thereby keeping things under one control.

    * Integrated global player in true sense
    RCOM, as a telecom player, satisfies your every telecom need, right from a mobile connection to broadband to International leased circuit.

    * Network infrastructure

    o PAN India convergence ready broadband network

    o Largest scalable and restorable global NGN footprint

    o Largest MPLS enabled CORE data network

    o Integrated BSS-OSS to support complex suite of services

    o Largest MEN network - with services certified by MEF forum

    o Only provider of end-to-end connectivity on fiber

    o Largest data centre service provider in India - 48% of total market share

    o Only data centre to have all the three ISO 9001:2005, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 27001 certification

    o Ability to offer end to end solutions in voice and data services to enterprise customers, helping them to outsource all their telecom services and infrastructure needs.

    * Customer experience and account management

    o End to end to program management

    o Customer experience management - Is covered under 3 extensively organised programmes: Program Management (for Customer Life Cycle Management), Tech Check (for complete health check of customer's network) and CNMS ( a tool which gives Network view tool for SLA based customers).

    o Tech Check - Periodic sharing of customer specific/ circuit specific service uptimes, number of faults, action plan for repeat faults, advise on improving customer’s network infrastructure.

    o Managed Solutions - To enable you to focus on your core area, the service covers Monitoring & Alarm Management, Service Management, Fault Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Performance Management and Network Engineering Service (Network Planning & Design, Network Optimisation, Network Migration Service & Network Implementation & Integration Service).

    * Innovative solutions

    o Reliance has been always on the forefront of cutting edge technology and has been a pioneer in bringing products and services to its customers. Some of the unique firsts that came from us to India:-

    o Speed Select – First time in India, an Internet consumer can select his bandwidth while surfing.

    o OneOffice Duo - India’s first fixed mobile convergence solution, offering a nationwide VPN across Reliance Landline, Fixed Wireless and Reliance Mobile services.

    o Tech Check – Another first from Reliance, part of Reliance’s three pronged Customer Experience Management. It is done to check the complete health of the customer‘s network.

    o Aggregated Internet – Optimal utilisation of bandwidth across multiple locations in a city is done by aggregating the bandwidth at one central location.

    o Remote wireless based access to corporate VPN - Using a 3G1XCDMA wireless data solution, remote site users can access a secure VPN access without any exposure to Internet.

    o Smart PRI – Introduced for the first time in India by Reliance, to provide better visibility and control to customer. It not only provides extension wise bill for each DID number but also eliminates the need for additional investment in PBX billing software and PC.

    o Another first in India, use of Ethernet-based circuits eliminating the need for routers

    * System and process efficient

    o Automated processes throughout the lifecycle of product.

    o The systems and processes ensure uniform service experience across the country.

    o Centralised NOC that monitors the services round the clock, ensuring proactive actions in the area of change management, performance management, fault notifications and resolutions and SLA monitoring.

    * Company Roadmap

    o Full range of managed service offerings
    Businesses are becoming increasingly competitive and demands complete focus. Reliance Managed Services portfolio enables the organisations to get optimal performance from the resources, yet focusing on their core activities. Reliance Communications has a wide portfolio of managed services like Managed WAN service, managed firewall, Managed Security, managed voice. It is the endeavors of RCOM to extend this all the products and services across voice, video, data and collaborative services to achieve managed communications for customer.

    o Convergence solutions for the need of tomorrow
    Today, Enterprises are using multiple disjointed tools for business, these include email, desk phones, email, mobile phones etc.. . With the advent of IP communications and its increasing adoption, it is possible to have a common synergized platform for delivery of all these services. This will not only result in simplified operations and service from service provider side, but will lead to next generation of Enterprise tools, enhancing the productivity multiple times.

    o Launching of new data center to other major cities
    Reliance data centres are specialized IT infrastructure facilities that house mission-critical applications and business data of enterprises which need extraordinary security, availability, reliability, scalability and manageability. Currently we are operating with four world class Level-3+ data centres at Mumbai and Bangalore, aggregating to over 200,000 sq. ft. of facility space. More facilities are being built in other prominent cities namely Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkatta, that would result in aggregate facility space of over 500,000 sq. ft.

    What you mentioned is right at the macro level but all ISPs have their problems at local level in different areas, and Reliance is no differnet.

    I used to live in Madiwala, Bangalore and Reliance Netconnect speed sucked. By sucked i mean 20 kbps till 1.00 in the night. Meanwhile I shifted houses to a different area and here I get speeds of min 150-200 kbps. Its all about how much they oversell their capacity.

    Lol seems like this RCom dude is a kid or he desperately wants someone to buy his Reliance Connection his Speedtest result shows 3.18Mbps down then why doesnt he get 300+ in torrents or direct download?
    and upload speed upto 18Mbps and in torrent it shows around 1.9kBps ahhh well he could say that there were not many peers to which he could upload.

    I dont trust Reliance at all(After Reliance electricity charges,Will be shifting to TATA POWER soon)

    @Rcom Dont try to promote reliance here and increase your profit, this is a forum that requires unbiased and correct reviews.
    (I myself am a MTNL customer but agree that though its rates are cheap,its customer service is pathetic)

    1,which isp in India gives 2mbps NO CONDITIONS APPLY FUP FREE connection
    2,which isp in India gives same upload speed as download

    @Rcom
    Why do you always post speed test results straight from your location to Reliance server ?
    Why not test at speedtest.net or at the U.K site I posted?

    You have done enough spamming/ propaganda about Reliance BB service
    and it is getting tiresome to members/users

    2.
    Why the D/L and U/L speed should not be SAME (or equal) is title for another thread.
    (for Home users.)

    Para two:

    Post some constructive posts :
    I had already requested you to post useful Guides
    ( Like @Just4kix guides in forum "Broadband How to ....)
    for ALL Reliance BB connection/s and
    how to use Reliance BB for wifi mode and for more than one computer
    and additional laptop in wifi mode etc.

    Existing Reliance users will be happy to learn the details .
    Example: not solved ???
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/relian...g-up-wifi.html (Reliance broadand wireline user-- help setting up wifi)

    Rcom is banned for two days. I have deleted a few posts in this thread that were a bit unpleasant and if I have left anything out please report it and it will be looked into.

    Rcom my friend all we ask is to be polite because others in this thread have been polite to you but you fail to reciprocate this gesture towards others.. Doesnt give out a very good impression when you use that kind of language. I cannot control your life or the way you behave but I have to keep this board clean and you have been repeatedly ventured out of the the boundaries we have in place. Its just more work for me and doesnt help anyone or yourself using this kind of language.

    Relax! Life is too short.. live it to the fullest, be happy and spread happiness.

    The type of connection that Rcom continues to boast (Metro Ethernet) is now available to business users only. Reliance does not offer even wireline BB any more unless cable network exists in the area.

    Forget about small towns, Reliance cannot provide connections in tier 1 cities either. They are offering Wimax only.

    This whole thread is a series of pointless arguments.

    I Agree to just4kix!
    It is not Bsnl that will lay down Copper Wires and simply you can enjoy Broadband Services,you have to get Cable Networking if you require Reliance Broadband and small cities and towns are not capable of owing these bulky Priced Equipments!However i didn't knew this Fact
    The type of connection that Rcom continues to boast (Metro Ethernet) is now available to business users only.
    If the thread is really not worth it,i suggest removing it or closed it.
