Even I am also currently facing the same problem. I am in 750/4GB plan. Used internet for 10 days and one morning suddenly the connection was barred. I know for sure that I had not exceeded even 1 GB of usage.
When I spoke to the customer care, they told me that the usage is already for Rs.14,000 and need to pay 90% of the amount to activate the account again and refused provide any other details regarding the account. Then I registered the complaint with the customer care but they said that they have charged correctly. After sometime, received a legal notice asking to pay within 7 days else will be taken to court.
The next day, I spoke to the manager of some collection agency who came to my home to collect the dues and agreed for 1day (where the usage was max) to be waived off. I paid 7270 in cheque and later received a bill from Reliance to pay the remaining 6000 odd rupees. Worried again as I may receive a legal notice for this amount in the next month and the one who spoke to me is refusing to give written details about the waive off.
I have now stopped the cheque payment! Yes...stopped itNow ready to go to the court and face anything after going through this forum.
Also will register complaints to TRAI, DoT, Nodal officer, Appelette authority in hand written and let me see what happens next!
