    Default Legal notice harassment!

    Even I am also currently facing the same problem. I am in 750/4GB plan. Used internet for 10 days and one morning suddenly the connection was barred. I know for sure that I had not exceeded even 1 GB of usage.

    When I spoke to the customer care, they told me that the usage is already for Rs.14,000 and need to pay 90% of the amount to activate the account again and refused provide any other details regarding the account. Then I registered the complaint with the customer care but they said that they have charged correctly. After sometime, received a legal notice asking to pay within 7 days else will be taken to court.

    The next day, I spoke to the manager of some collection agency who came to my home to collect the dues and agreed for 1day (where the usage was max) to be waived off. I paid 7270 in cheque and later received a bill from Reliance to pay the remaining 6000 odd rupees. Worried again as I may receive a legal notice for this amount in the next month and the one who spoke to me is refusing to give written details about the waive off.

    I have now stopped the cheque payment! Yes...stopped it Now ready to go to the court and face anything after going through this forum.

    Also will register complaints to TRAI, DoT, Nodal officer, Appelette authority in hand written and let me see what happens next!

    This news are common, everyone knows Reliance cheats .... just change Reliance if you don't wanna get cheated by those cheaters.

    Default RELIANCE CHEATING, Earning money without providing any service

    Hello all

    similar kind of experience i have now with reliance broadband, i had applied for reliance wireless broad brand 2 years ago, installation guys came and installed the wireless receiver, they said that signal was not coming, and said they would increase signal strength, after one week they did something seemed to be they increased the signal strength, we got very low signal strength even it was unable to browse, since my house surrounded by big trees and big building so we could not, after one week we did not receive any signal and it was not usable, those checking guys were telling that it was due to signal strength issue and agreed some problem with network, i called up customer care to cancel the connection in march2008, they gave one cancellation reference number, but they did not take any equipment back till May2008, In May 2008 customer care(from Mumbai also) guys called me and asked me to pay around Rs1500 , they had counted till May2008, i said hardly used for one week with very slow browsing net. and also i paid Rs..500 towards deposit.

    Now ,march2010,reliance has sent me legal notice to pay around 1000 bucks

    what should i do now? please help me

    @arr0301 - Hope the legal notice should be from SA Associates. Even if it is from someone else, if you have the complaint reference number reported for connection termination with Reliance, then write a mail to the nodal officer regarding the issue copying the Advocate who has sent the legal notice and wait for 10 days by which they should give you a ref number for investigation and to provide an update. Else this can be passed to the appellete authority and then to TRAI/DoT. Not sure how much this works but lets try to fight for truth!

    I am also waiting for news from the Nodal officer.
