Default How to get contention ratio 1:1, business plan

    Hi,

I want high bandwidth services to be bundled with a reliance wireless connection plan. Like a contention ratio of 1:1 so I got the full bandwidth every time without sharing it with 4 or 8 other people.

On reliance website, contention ratio is explained according to their plans.
Unfortunatly I cannot post the url right now, but you will find it in google with "contention ratio" and "reliance".

The problem is, where ever shop I go or hotline nr I call, nobody knows about plan options rather than the usual consumer plans.

As I understand, you will get contention ratio of 1:1 only as a business user or home user if you choose high bandwidth services. Fine for me, but still nobody of the costumers representitives knows how to get a business wireless connection with reliance or knows the term "High bandwidth connection". I tried to contact over website, phone numers and shops. No usfull help so far.

Do you know somebody from reliance who can help me in this matter?

    Thank you,
    infrababe

If you are willing to spend a bit extra I would suggest get a 10mbps connection from Tulip IT. It will be a wireless connection with a contention ratio of 1:1 and their uptime is great.

If Reliance is what you want then I sugest you send them an e-mail instead of calling them beause the reply will be on record they cannot afford to send a lazy reply and will look around... Hopefully you would get a meaningful reply this way.

10 Mbps Internet at Rs.60,000 per month.

    Wow. A bit extra indeed

infrababe, are you sure you need 1:1? In around eight years of using ADSL, in London and then India, I have never had a noticable problem with contention. My biggest problem, over the years, has been with the absurdly low upstream bandwidth. Symetric DSL would have been so much nicer --- and so much more expensive.

If you are sure it is what you need, then I guess you should be looking for the sort of pro service that Admin speaks of. There is nothing like sitting at one end of a fibre link!

I said bit extra from infrababe's perspective Have a read through this post : http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...tml#post292617 (Anyone can help me finding the best broadband available in my area?)
Those farm houses are one of the costliest properties in India even renting one would cost a fortune so for those who live there 60k a month is just a bit extra

    Oh right.

It wasn't meant to be at all rude: just my mouth fell open when I checked out Tulip's web site. No offence meant, just shock

Mind you, used to pay more than this for a 1Mb fibre leased line in London when I was working (ended 200). Things have moved on since then, of course, worldwide.

    Oh good. No misunderstanding then

It would be nice to be in a position where 60,000 was 'a bit' It'd be nice to have that sot of connection too. Hope infrababe gets what he needs from a decent supplier.

Today Reliance is offering 10Mbps (1:1) for 40K per month.
