Thread: Reliance Broadband with Vonage - Suggestions and tips required

I am using Reliance Broadband

300 Kbps Combo plan
Model : UTStarcom ADSL Modem
Vonage Instument : VT2142

I have been seeing many threads and posts discussing the issue on Vonage cannot be used Reliance Broadand conection, but no thread had come up with a solution.

I have registered for Vonage paying $26 and it will be configured once i receive the Vonage Instument.

I need expert advise to know if Reliance will support Vonage. If not what would be solution. Should i go for different broadband connect or should i buy static IP from Reliance.

Your Reliance Broadband connection is ADSL landline connection.

You can access using PPP/PPPoE mode ( UserID/PW entered in
WAN page of modem Ut300r2U) and enable Dhcp in modem.

Remove the Rj45 from computer end and connect to
Vonage Unit. (Blue port)
4.
Add another Rj45 from Vonage to computer ethernet port.
(Yellow port to wifi router if needed )
5.
Check all three Icons "Telephone" "Monitor (Internet) and "Globe
appear in the LCD display with Date ..
6.
Your Vonage connection is OK. with a U.S number .
7.
Access to Vonage VOIP unit rarely required.
Error messages tell you what is the problem.

Anyway IP is 192.168.15,1
ID router PW router.
9.
Enable DHCP apply.
10.
Your Internet connection for computer
also will work.
11.
I have used AIRTEL BB and now using BSNL BB.
Await response from Reliance BB users.
