Default Reliance Fraudnet

Hi

After reading few reviews from this site which i happened to find on google , i thought i too should share with u my reliance 'fraudnet' experience.

I had booked a combo plan a month ago (prepaid) under which the phone and internet accounts will be a single refill voucher . But for combo plan , a startup voucher for the fixed phone of Rs 500 value is required along with startup voucher of 500 for internet , both of which will be merged in a few days( that is what they told me). So effectively u get full talktime of 500/- in phone voucher and 25 Rs from internet voucher after installation charges. So u r basically left with 525 Rs after the two things are combined .

A month has passed and the two things are yet to be merged into one. So that means my 500 rupees is stuck up in the phone and i only got Rs 25/- from internet voucher .!! I had to buy new refills to surf the net .

Now lets talk about customer service .

If u call Rcare - they will say that your details are not in their database ( just like another member quoted in his post) so they cant take my request for merging phone and net . After making a million calls everyday to everyone concerned , after a month i got my phone and net details updated in their database!. That was a week ago . The 2 things have still not been merged and to quote another member here , they tell you their systems are being upgraded hence the delay .And u can forget about contacting the sales person who sold u this cos they vanish the next day and change phone numbers!

Rcare tells u contact LCO , LCO tells u contact Rcare

Another alarming problem --- their customer care email - broadband@relianceada.com is dead .

They reply to a mail after almost a month later .Some of the mails i believe are bounced from their servers . All of their emails arrive in the bulk folder of yahoo. Even their auto reply option is faulty cos i sometimes receive no auto reply for a sent mail .

CONCLUSION--- the reliance broadband setup is not yet properly implemented and i believe they are testing the service on us hapless customers before they can start selling to corporates .

Also as another member stated here , i too get automatically disconnected after a few hours in the middle of a download . I use 300 K unlimited plan . So when u leave PC on at night for download , when u wake up its been disconnected again.

The whole thing is poorly implemented and i suggest u go for MTNL if u r in bombay .Maybe the local cable guy is better !

regards

rajeev nair

P.S. I forgot to mention that the phone instrument has been faulty since installation time .
