Default Log in page not appearing

Asking for a friend of mine in Bangalore. He got Reliance 300 Kbps unlimited connection. They got the connection last day and everything was working fine. Later they reinstalled XP. Now the problem is that when they try to connect to net, there is no option for log in. He recalled to have got an option when they try to surf in Firefox. But after fresh installation, they are not getting this option in browser and hence are offline. It will be nice if anyone can guide me on solving this issue. Thanks.

Update : They can browse with Live CD. Is there any way out without reinstalling Windows ?

try IEtab add on in Firefox.
or create a New PPPoE dialer. .

    Mention modem/model/make/number.
Can try "Always On" "PPPoE" and store id/pw in wan page.

seen about Live CD. Does the "Dialer" provided by Reliance stored here ?
    Copy to Windows .
    Later they reinstalled XP
    All updates done upto SP3?
We have to create a Dialup connection anyway.

He says there is no separate dialer. Once he opens a browser (with cable connected to LAN) a page will appear which asks for ID and password. But in XP there this page is not appearing. Strangely it works with the Live CD.

I also told him to try the web log in address of Reliance. But that too shows " server not found ". I think their copy of XP is not genuine. So may be SP2 or SP3 (not updated).

Ask him to get connected. Check (dynamicIP)
myIPaddress.com: What is my IP address? How do I find my IP address?
get it from him and you try to access the modem( details still awaited )
get id PW. try "Always On" mode .

He says there is no separate dialer.
like Yahoo mail ? in browser.

Update :"netconnect " No adsl modem used ????

    Hello friend

Check your LAN card first . Some LAN card need driver to run. may be driver is missing or LAN card disabled

If this is not a problem then try this one:
    Ping your default gateway:

    START>>RUN>>>CMD>>PING YOUR DEFAULT GATEWAY

if welcome page do not open use this IN BROWSER 220.224.142.229

    BEST OF LUCK

    @ essbebe

    1. In Linux type live CD you can use internet as there is a support [Driver] for LAN.

    2. Reliance do not provide USB modem to there users . Mainly they provide ADSL UTSTAR Modem to there customers.

This is clearly a driver issue.

    @essbebe

1 . Broadband plan of @meetdilip is 300 kbps unlimited . This is a wireline broadband connection not a wireless , where we had to put USB modem in concern as per your links.

    2. Live CD can of many types , like Linux, Ubuntu, windows based etc.
Live CD of window based is made by using PE BUILDER.

    You are right. My mistake.
"Surf Addiction 300" or "combo300" seems to be the plan in use.
    Listed in Broadband plans.
